Platinum is almost here, guys! On a completely unrelated note, the ending of Apollo Justice was one of the most anti-climactic and disappointing things I've ever experienced. I was pretty much forced to reload a savestate until the attack missed so I could switch to Kaph. I know I said I'd let you witness all my embarrassing losses, but come on, it's Bugsy. It was just TOO embarrassing.) ...I regretted it, yeah. [After suffering the effects of Scyther's terrifying power for a few more turns...]  That... That was too close.   I actually feel more like an expert on manipulating luck, although I'm not sure why...  It smells of delicious honey.   This attack will haunt my nightmares tonight...    I bet he created it in an illegal underground lab.   Aww, I really didn't do that well, I just... <A Mysterious Voice Unidentified For Foreshadowing Purposes> Well, every single bone in my body hurts like hell right now, but it was worth it. Spiders aren't insects, but they can be called bugs, it's a slight misnomer/disambiguation/vague-one but bug is a more general term than just insects.
Though it would be awwwesome if all Pokémon were linked into respective biological classes according to phylogeny >.>

I must say that gym is a bit difficult to look at. Not that it's ugly, but it's hard to keep track of XD

I have noticed that the Pikachus that you draw are much different to their game sprites/official arts. Yours is a bit more "slender" and prolly a bit cuter. As opposed to a podgy rat *shot*
Your shading is interesting, it looks like a rather intense light is in front of the Pikachu, which is what it looks like from the great difference between the shades used for light and dark areas. You probably tried for that or something.
Ah, just remembered what the word was. Huge contrast between the shades. The shading is quite simple and cool.
To soften up the impact of the shading (with some colours it can look a bit harsh), you could simply use a middle ground shade to soften up teh edges between the absolute light and absolute dar, buuuut that kinda reminded me of sprite shading there. What with the 3 or 4 tonal shades.
What you're shading is spot on too. You know where the light does and doesn't hit. It's neat.

I misread "Fury Cutter" and thought it said "Furry Cutter", which is disturbing. I like the Pikachu, the ears look kind of like it picked up on some sound.
