Shiver is cool. Played on SMP for the first time today. Without enemy mobs, it's just like a second creative mode (a better creative mode though). Also, don't hit pigs - they go spasticated. ( Forum topic for the server I'm on) |

Well, since I've never seen you on the server, you must play on some weird British time.
If you don't have a house, I guess I could rent you out an empty room I have in my house.
Or you could move into the ground floor.
My house is next to the tree farm.
OR you could move into the wooden house that conencts to my house. There's a lot of rooms in there and I'm not using it at all.

My opinion of this update.

Hell The Slip The Nether (after being in it for about twenty minutes)
It's terrifying. If you hear a horrible screaming sound, that's - get this - the Ghasts taking damage from flying into the lavafalls.
Ghasts are EVERYWHERE. Good luck getting to high ground. In fact I got lucky because where I started was an enclosed space so there wasn't any way for them to hit me from above.
I killed one. In about ten or so arrows. I suspect it was already damaged.
GOOD LUCK HITTING ONE THOUGH, they can hit you from very far away and you can't.
I didn't get to any Australium, so I don't know anything about it. I think the helldirt is the one which slows you down, but it might be some other block which looks very similar.
Zombie pigmen creep me the ninja out. I know better than to attack one. They have wooden swords, which is cute and something we didn't see in the preview.

Biomes.
I haven't done much exploring yet, but I can say for sure that it's pretty cool. The differences are pretty subtle in places. Not sure if I like the new default grass/trees, but it'll grow on me. I haven't even found any snow yet, so I can't comment on that.

Fishing
There are no visible fish. From what I've heard, it's a bit like the fishing in Animal Crossing - put down your lure and pull it out when it bobs.

Improved SMP
Haven't been able to connect yet, can't comment on that.

Watch
Apparently crafted the same way as the compass, but with gold instead of iron.

Difficulty seems to have increased (more mobs & more damage), but that may be because I was an idiot and brought no armour when I went biome-hunting.

Bugs
Items disappear immediately on death, so don't die! Here's hoping there's a patch for this one very soon. (Apparently patched in 1.2.0_01, but I haven't tested it yet.)
Leaves are grey when hit.
Fishing rod can be used to REEL IN MOBS

Rumours (not confirmed by me)
Ghast fireballs can be reflected with arrows, possibly anything else.
Attacking pigmen causes their entire horde to attack you.
Cacti can now grow much higher.
