I'm here! ... Right, I'm boring. Um. But I'm doing things! ... But on my journal. Speaking of boring, why have you not enlisted in the Boring Army? Also, Bite my shiny metal ass, CC. Thank you, Fiery. ALSO ALSO A lot of the stuff we used to do was on SVIRC, which is deader than dead now. Hasn't been a conversation on there for WEEKS, and I'm fairly certain I'm the only person in there just because I still have it on autojoin in Trillian. EDIT ALSO: The giant string of vamp/mafia/whatever games were the most recent activity I can remember. Maybe we should try doing something like that again if we want activity?

I refer you to the giant string of failed Vampire/Mafia games for why we should not do that again.

I've been mostly lurking since hoaxing and spriting has died down.
More stuff like Roby's Abducted series would be an activity booster. Maybe another community comic?

Thing is, all these suggestions like mafia games and community comics would only be an activity booster for the twenty-or-so people that still actually visit here frequently. Oh and Fiery that was your first post since June

Speaking of boring, why have you not enlisted in the Boring Army? Um, I dunno. Nobody invited me. I say we need to appoint new mods who actually show up once in a while (my nominations would be Zae, Dooms and FE) WHOA WHOA WHOA WAIT I'M TOO FLAKY TO BE A MOD.

I agree, things have started dumbing down. I seem to just do my round of posting and then that's it. I was thinking about updating the page on the Sonic Retro wiki, but I thought against it.

What of it? I've been here, I just don't like you guys enough to post. Shh, you love us. Anyways, I've given this issue a lot of thought; here's what I'd like to see happen: Lets toss out the old SV format. Allow hoaxers to submit their work directly to the site, but limit them to 1 submission a day so moderation of inappropriate content/garbage is not too difficult. Others should be allowed to rate and comment on hoaxes directly on the website. Hoaxes with a low rating will be removed regularly. Basically, this would be the same thing as the hoax board, but neater/prettier. A huge bonus would be recreating SVMB so registered hoaxers automatically have an account created on the message boards. (therefore making posting far more attractive and convenient) I'm sure SOMEWHERE there's something pre-coded that will at least serve the basis of this idea. What I would like to know is: a) Do you like this idea? b) If I bother to look for something that is the right format to put this idea into action and fail, can you or someone you know aid in coding this?

I think that's more of a strategy someone would consider implementing when there's actually a steady flow of content being submitted to the site.
Although I like the idea of having a linked forum/website account, we'd just need to let people know about the existence of either site.

I think that's more of a strategy someone would consider implementing when there's actually a steady flow of content being submitted to the site. Well, my reasoning behind the idea is the internet's increasing requirement for socialization. Seriously, is there a website in existence that doesn't have some form of this? I have a feeling that if a big site like Sonic Stadium mentions us it'll be far more likely that the people checking us out will give what we do a try if they can easily take part in it. (commenting on someone's hoax requires far less effort than actually making one) I do agree that we should get some content up before openly advertising the site though.

I have no clue on coding, but if you need someone to help with some of the layout design I could try and pitch in. Need a new project anyway.
Speaking of which, one of our problems as a community is that we can't be bothered to do anything most of the time. Did we ever finish Comic Jam? And whatever happened to "SV:The Game". It probably helped back in the day that Matt had both the WTGB and WT3GB games so he could at least get some attention from Sonic Fangames HQ.
EDIT: Random idea. Since we allow hoaxes, reviews, and a bunch of other disjointed things, perhaps it would also be a good idea to have an artwork section? Even if it was just a group on DevArt.

An SV group on dA would probably be cool as (as far as I know) there are a lot of members of that site who are still into Sonic, albeit the slightly more creepy side of the fanbase (you know what I mean).
Then just post a load of anthro sketches and other crap you guys have done, and BAM! New members.
And SV:TG being on a completely separate forum which - at a glance - had no connection with SV whatsoever probably put some people off becoming involved with it.

I finished Comic Jam by taking a KIPPERS on it.
SV:TG got canned as far as I'm aware.
