R/S/E: anything not mudkip But, b-buh, buh! Swampert was awesome. Sure, he can get bent over a grass type, but it has a lot of damaging moves, and most of them with STAB Bonus. I should probably stop using RAS Syndrome

Rata..Ratat...Ratatat..Rat... How the hell do I pronounce this? Bah, doesn't matter. Gleek finishes it off quickly. Hooray, now Gleek can throw dirt at his enemy. I am so very proud. Don't give me those eyes, Gleek...those creepy, piercing eyes... Not interested. Can't I do anything without you people shoving your coporate sh*t down my throat? ...Your peace offering pleases Simon. It's not that scary, they're only a foot high. Pfft, yeah, like I'm ever going back there again. So, it's like a Pokémon vetrinarian? They should take a look at some of Oak's "research". That's convenient. I'm starting to like this place. Doo dee doo dee doooo~ ...Is he okay? I would've kept right on going but he pulled a shotgun on me. Whatever, I can wait until you get it for him. ... ...You're not going, are you? I'll say. I still don't think anybody gets the Gleek reference. My questions about Viridian were quickly answered. I mean, just imagine the literacy rate here. Er...yeah? How did you know? Do I... smell of Pallet Town? *sniff* ...Never heard of him. Oh, an order. Eh, I guess I could. That old man is probably still blocking the road. Lemme check. Yep. Hmm... HOLY CRAP THIS IS SO MUCH FUN It keeps grabbing my ass with its tail. That's not funny. Screw you and your sarcasm, old man. Yeah, I decided to be nice and do you a favor. Why does it look like a tes- Dear God, why?You called him knowing I was on my way, didn't you? Listen, dude, I already promised not to tell anybody about your experiments. I'm not delivering any "meat lumps" to your buddies in Sinnoh. Huh. That's actually kinda neat. These aren't..."hot", are they? Catch them? This calls for the big stick. That'll work just as well. I'm keeping my stick, though. Can I go now? Right, catch only sick Pokémon. Got it. *GROOOAAAAN* Yeah yeah yeah, you're old, we're young, I get it. Just stop talking! Right, because Pokémon just flock to you, am I right? I would care if it wasn't for the fact that your sister is probably the only non-douche in your entire family. I bothered. Finally, someone who understands. Alright, let's try these things out. Holy...it worked. Bada bing bada boom. --- God, that was a big update. I mostly wanted to go ahead and get all of that dialogue out of the way Next time, we do some more catching as well as begin our journey through Viridian Forest. In the meantime, I need nicknames for the following Pokémon that can be found in the areas I'm going to explore: Rattata, Mankey, Caterpie, Weedle, Pikachu, and Spearow.
And yes, that Rattata was the only encounter I had between Pallet and Viridian before getting back to Oak.

IMO, Pokemon is a ruined series. There's no turning back now, Nintendo; congrats. Not bad. That Aipom was, uh, unexpected. But why Aipom? WHAT'S WRONG WITH MAGIKARP, DAMMIT? Or Wynaut, at least.

You could just run from all of the battles and then get lucky with catching a Pidgey once you can get Pokeballs.

Although it'd take SMASHINGLY forever.

IMO, Pokemon is a ruined series. There's no turning back now, Nintendo; congrats. wat Don't you wat me, womens.Meh, I just feel that they've gone a little bit OTT. There's already 493 of the buggers - FOUR HUNDRED AND NINTY BLARGHIN' THREE. Remember "Gotta catch 'em all"? Notice how they're not sticking it on any of their cases anymore? The last time it's own slogan has appeared is Crystal. Either they forgot, or they've accepted that they've pretty much lost all control of their series. Besides, I liked the simplicity. I liked the fact that not every bloody Pokemon had three evolutions. I liked having to wire up your GBCs like siamese twins to battle or trade (besides, I always liked to have the master end). I don't like Effort Values. I don't like the fact that you have to walk and walk and walk and walk and walk just to hatch an egg. I don't like the fact that you can make Ditto have sex with everything you put in the Daycare Center (seriously! What do they feed them on? Viagra?). I think Magikarp and Gyrados are one of the only 'uncontaminated' Pokemon from RBY - they haven't had an extra evolution. If Gyrados ever evolves into something new... ((((((((((((((

Kangaskhan.
Also, EVs were in R/B/Y as well.
(edit: I typo'd 'kangaskhan')

Sorry, Game Freak. You're going to have to stop putting new content in your sequels, because it upsets people Interrobang here who just want you to release Red/Blue over and over and over again. Hell, it works for Sega selling Sonic games, and Pokémon fans are almost as retarded as Sonic fans, so it just might work!

Don't you wat me, womens.Effort values, evolutions, etc. Hey, guess what? There were hidden stats like that in RBY and GSC too. You just didn't care back then. Why not adopt the same attitude towards the new games? As for evolutions, they're simply necessary sometimes for balance reasons. Farfetch'd could use one, for example.

I still don't think anybody gets the Gleek reference. No one's said anything so I don't know if this is a joke or not. I got it though. I liked it >.>

(((((((((((((( So basically what you're saying is that the pokemon series is ruined, primarily because there's too much content, but also partly because they decided against keeping a slogan that was made an utter mockery of thanks to the anime series. Also because you had some misconceptions about how the older pokemon games worked (EV values, etc.). Pardon me for not quite seeing where you're coming from here.
