I'm planning on building a computer once I get to the US. Nothing special, just an AMD Phenom II X4, 4 gigs of RAM and a nVidia GeForce GTX260, with a generic ATX motherboard with support for up to 16 GB of DDR3 RAM (installing 4 'cause 8 was too expensive). All for $945, too. I think I'll have the cash by December, order the parts and start building.
...What? If my power of communism gives extra power to my mac, imagine what it could do to that thing.

I got an HP computer after 6/6/09, so I'm entitled to the Windows 7 version of the Vista OS I was using. (So I'll get Windows 7 Home Premium) My copy will be shipped shortly after release. Here you go. The offer should still be available.EDIT: Offer is open until 15th February next year.

Unfortunately my Uni isn't readily avaliable for that kinda thing, so I had to provide more info and they'll get to me in 1-2 weeks. Hopefully I qualify, would love to have W7.
EDIT: Wait, you said W7 Pro but the website says W7 Home Premium. Also, are 64-bit versions available for the same price?

Turns out my Uni IS eligable, I just had to switch to the UK version of the site (d'oh).
Anyways, where's the link to Pro? Be specific.
EDIT: Well, I found the link. So I can get 64-bit Pro for the same price as Home Premium, Pro coming with all the same features as Home Premium except also with the ability to join a network (and I assume other features)? Awesome. Anything I should know before I buy it?
EDIT2: Wait, it says Windows 7 Pro "Upgrade". Does that mean I have to own a specific version of Vista in order to get this? I have Windows Vista Business, so I can't "upgrade", yet the site says I can do a "custom install" anyway even if I have NO operating system to update from...
I'm ninjaing confused. Am I buying the whole OS or not?

So even though I have Windows Vista Business, I can still use this?
Why does it say update then? Have you done this yourself?
