Oookay, so the very first name I had was chaos_sonic, because I thought it was weird that the SUPER emeralds made Sonic HYPER, and the CHAOS ones made him SUPER. But that was me when I was like...11 or 10. I was only on The Sonic Joint (which is now called Chaos Sanctum, and has very little to do with Sonic, last I checked).
So then I was ShadowMK2, because at the time I thought it was a cool name, even though I might as well have called myself "Shadow 2.0" which is incredibly original, amirite?
Then in May '05, being 12, I joined SV, and didn't make a post for almost a week. Go me.
Then, after being called Shazzo, ShadMK2, and MK2, I realized that it was a terrible name, and since my avatar was Mega Man X with Shadow's head recolored, I took the X and Shad and then made Xad. Hooray.
EDIT: Then whenever I'd need to make the name longer, I'd make it Xad The Awesome, which was partly a reference to Crow T. Robot, and partly making fun of everyone called "<name> the <animal>"

You were never called Shazzo. That was the domain of overly-optimistic-guy.

@trin: Someone else played FF:CC?! The Yukes are awesome. :/ Indeed. I was a Magic powerhouse! In the Multiplayer Memory Card. In the normal Memory Card? A stinkin' Clavat... With a nice hat. (Why do most of my VG avatars have nice hats? I dunno) Anyways, Usernames. Original: Didn't think of something for my character. I read about "dynamic prossecing" or something. Liked it, slapped it in front of Sonic and there, a nice little Unoriginal username. Current: Got bored, didn't like the fact that Dynamic Sonic was long, clanky and it shortened to DS, but I liked the D! So I was in the middle of my "Emo" phase, was sad and pissed and changed it, The End. ... Would I be right in saying a fair few members joined at 11 or 12 thereabouts? At elast the members that we all like (ish)? I did, anyway. I was 10 when I joined

Didn't I help make a YTMND page about Shazzo? I think I provided a narrative or something (sped up all chipmunky).

Oh. Chose a good name ... Would I be right in saying a fair few members joined at 11 or 12 thereabouts? At elast the members that we all like (ish)? I did, anyway. I was 10 when I joined and nobody likes me. That said, I was a retard when I joined and whenever I look back at old drama stuffs (don't ask) I hate myself for being so incredibly moronic at one point. Anyway, I was 5 and signed up for Nickelodeon because of some flash game there and I took my birth year and stuck it at the end of a nickname from my aunt, didn't work. I added the extra O in result.

Sputnik, a satellite Spud, a potato

Spudnik. I thought it was funny. Turns out that Friends used this joke at some point so everyone thought I liked Friends when I'd never actually seen a single episode.
Then I dropped it and used my real name anyway.
On Xbox Live and Steam, I use Spudnikku because Stuart is always taken and the "ku" makes it sound fancy.

I joined when I was 13 (holy crap, was that five years ago?) though I had been using Tenebrais for a little while before that. I remember, possibly the summer before I joined, going on holiday in Paris. There my brother and I each bought a small pack of french Yu-Gi-Oh cards (for the novelty). The 'dark' element was translated as 'tenebré', a word which resonated with me and was changed slightly to become my username when I couldn't use the highly original "Death Reaper" I had been using up until that point. (Well, not completely up until that point. The first forums I joined were for Lego, where I went by the name Sklack, which may still be the most original username I ever came up with in that it wasn't inspired by anything). Of course, Tenebrais is a bit long to type often, so it was often shorted to Tene. I preferred to have my name shortened to two syllables rather than one, so I added the accent to point that out, as well as harken back to the name's french origin. On a related subject, a couple of years later I went on a summer school, where I experimented with having people call me Tenebrais after noticing a girl I'd come to fancy using a nickname herself (I was still impressionable back then). Nearly four years on and I still can't get Trinity to call me Steve, despite us being best friends. And here I thought it was from the Latin 'tenebrae'

Then what was the one I did, because I remember doing it. Something about margaritas.

And here I thought it was from the Latin 'tenebrae' Well, the french word comes from the latin word, so in an indirect way it does. But I didn't really take an interest in latin until later.

Incidentally, there's also an Italian horror film by the same name. If I was into foreign horror, I'd check it out.

Frog Legs and Dog Heads - What I wrote on my yearbook submission for "describe yourself in five words" Hmm, so you didn't go with Finnish. I said something like 'short and knows too much' because I didn't think anyone would understand 'nihilist misanthropic panglobodisestablishmentarian grammar nazi'
