I joined when I was 12.
CC used to stand for CoolCorky. "Cork" is my surname. I invented the username when I was about 8, but it stuck. I shortened it.
The other username I use occasionally is "Ingle Berry Parp", my take on a rapper's name. >>

I first got on the internets at age 7 or so. My first email was "CRUNCHYINMILK313", taken from an old rat race screensaver. Then I moved on to Neopets, and used the name "charmandon313", which is an obvious knock off of Charmander. I stuck with that for a while, then I used the name Invisichao. I was into SA2 at the time andyeahwhatever. But I did end up spriting this "character".
Anyway, after that, I made "Shiver" in the Sonic Character Designer and I've stuck with him since early '06.

Yep, I was 11 when I met Tené and was introduced by him to SV. Was on Concept:Mobius before then.
Anyway. Both my names came from Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles in one way or another. Trinity was the random-fantasy-name-generator name for my character, who was a Clavat and designated healer. She had her Crowning Moment of Awesome, and I decided that I liked the name, so I kept it when I made a Sonic fancharacter.
Kall. If you make a lilty merchant in FF:CC, chances are your mother's Kal and your father's Kilth. Kilth and Kal (variations thereof) were names I gave to quite a few small people of mine. Kall just happens to be the one who stuck around for longest - Kilth (a gnome fighter) had his campaign terminated, and the other Kal didn't last too long at all.

No Sailor Scout Taurus, Bishy? Like I said, it was during my 'otaku phase' where I was convinced America was evil.

Still a little ashamed of the origins... found Sonic Vegemite one day and, well... came up with "Space Tails," an alien version of Tails.
God, those times make me cringe nowadays... I still have some of the horrible travesties that I used to call "sprites" in my folders...
ANYWAYS. When I had matured enough Internet-wise to realize how stupid I used to be, I found that there was still part of me that liked the character I had made with the name, and wished to make him (and me, by extension) more respectable*. So I adopted one of the nicknames I had been called, "Spacey," later shortening it to "Space." (also about this time updated the character with clothes to start the long process of differentiating him from his origins)
The real breakthrough was when I came up with the full name Space K. Green. Forgot what exactly inspired it, but it was a spur-of-the-moment decision that ended up somehow fitting just right.
So yeah, I still use the name "Space" here, but "Space K. Green" or "SpaceKGreen" is what I use elsewhere.
On a related note, the concept behind the title "Neon Knight" was inspired by Matt himself... long ago he described one of my hoaxes as a "Neon Nightmare" and the part of me wanting to make Space respectable latched onto that phrase.
*Said part of me still exists... some day I hope I'm able to act on it.

Jamiroquai Alien is the most terrifying bot in the history of FPS games, leader of the FistoBoyz and bane of non-blurred vision. A FistSim, on Dark difficulty, with a Jamiroquai-esque head (the smallest head in the game), on an alien body (the smallest body in the game). You can't outrun him, you have a fucking hard time hitting him, and once he touches you? It's game fucking over.

... Would I be right in saying a fair few members joined at 11 or 12 thereabouts? At elast the members that we all like (ish)? I did, anyway. Nope, 13 here. Ocrilio came to me after reading a paint bottle. How original. Cyclone refers to the character of the same name' airbending abilities. And I cringe at Ocrilio's recolour origins. >_<

Air bending? You mean like, flapping your arms about really hard to waft air at others?

I'm nearing 15 so I was 12 when I signed up 3 years ago. That makes me one of the youngest on the forum. Yay? EDIT: Air bending? You mean like, flapping your arms about really hard to waft air at others? NO LEIK THE ARROWMAN IN THE LEGEND OF BENDERS OR SUMMAT.

I joined when I was 13 (holy crap, was that five years ago?) though I had been using Tenebrais for a little while before that. I remember, possibly the summer before I joined, going on holiday in Paris. There my brother and I each bought a small pack of french Yu-Gi-Oh cards (for the novelty). The 'dark' element was translated as 'tenebré', a word which resonated with me and was changed slightly to become my username when I couldn't use the highly original "Death Reaper" I had been using up until that point. (Well, not completely up until that point. The first forums I joined were for Lego, where I went by the name Sklack, which may still be the most original username I ever came up with in that it wasn't inspired by anything). Of course, Tenebrais is a bit long to type often, so it was often shorted to Tene. I preferred to have my name shortened to two syllables rather than one, so I added the accent to point that out, as well as harken back to the name's french origin. On a related subject, a couple of years later I went on a summer school, where I experimented with having people call me Tenebrais after noticing a girl I'd come to fancy using a nickname herself (I was still impressionable back then). Nearly four years on and I still can't get Trinity to call me Steve, despite us being best friends.

@trin: Someone else played FF:CC?! The Yukes are awesome. :/ Also, I had no idea Concept: Mobius had a forum. FF:CCFF:CC was awesome! Dad brought back "faulty" (read: scratched screen) GBAs that had been returned to his work, so we had four of them, though we had to buy the cables. Me - clavat healer Sister - selkie damage (melée) Dad - yuke damage (spell), chalice carrier Mum - lilty "tank", occasional chalice carrierGood times, good times. Concept:MobiusYep, although it's - as I say - been about five years since I last went there. I went there the other day to see how they were getting on, and they recovered from their webmaster leaving - they've got a forum again now, but they seem to take it a lot more seriously than they used to. Blah. Serious forums. So I just re-read some of their how-to-make-a-good-fancharacter stuff (which is still useful for people who RP in universes designed for RP) and left a post on their guestbook.
