Hey guys. Quick question. Well, i'm currently working on a new LP (Let's Play) for the Xbox Live Arcade game, Super Meat Boy (harder than it looks). I was talking to one of my favourite LPers ever not long ago, about how to bring the game into a fine screen and everything, but all I need now, is a laptop microphone, as my old one broke long ago, and my internal microphone built into the laptop is frankly not worth having. So, can anyone recommend any good and efficient microphones? If it's just you, a Mic well set up from the 99p store does well. No really. Or get a well noise protected studio looking mic. I mean really most mics sound good if you've got the room acoustics done well.

Yeah, I could do that, but the room that i'm in is always loud, because of having to share a room and the heating generator being in here, so I wanted to get a mic that isn't sensitive to any background disturbances.

I wrap a sock around a rock band mic. I'm actually considering that. But i'm gonna go downtown tomorrow and see what I can find.

Just a little techncal question.
I am starting a new LP review on Youtube. I bought a headset, Dazzle Version 107, Pinnacle Studio HD Version 14, and also a couple of coloured wires and scarts. I tried hooking it up from my Xbox 360, to my laptop. I took the Xbox wires from the tv, and put them into the Dazzle dock, and then connected the USB port to my laptop. I turned my Xbox 360 on and tried to capture it, but nothing came on. Does anyone know what went wrong with that process?
And I did install the CD that came with it also.

...Coulda been a lot of things mate.
First step would be to reassess your wiring configuration.
Then system requirements
Specific instructions
Google... thought that's kinda really the first thing to try but hey

Thanks man. I experimented and now I know what I need to do. I just need to go get an AV amplifier, so I can different outputs through at the same time. One from the tv's HD scart, going through the amplifier, and letting that go through and channel to the laptop.
I'll send a link of the video once I can get it all to work and have done everything.

Why not use a splitter?

The splitter and amplifier that I bought, have the same use. I have the whole AV thing set up that it appears on the tv, and goes through the capture card, but the whole AMCap thing doesn't work now. No matter what I do, the screen on AMCap always comes up as a black screen.
Edit: Alright. I managed to finally get it to show up, but there's just one more problem to overcome. All I need to do now is get it into colour.

Probably. I'll experiment with it more when I get chance tomorrow.

Probably. I'll experiment with it more when I get chance tomorrow. I say this because it's exactly the problem I had.

What you need to record needs a lot of PC Resources? If not, use the online streamer and Manycam to record the screen. If it does: Download the Procaster. It not only works great with resource heavy stuff, it has a built in screen recorder.
Hook me up on skype if you need more help. It's darkangelsv1
EDIT: Just noticed the dates. I also noticed that I haven't switched DST off here. ._.

Hello everybody, how are things a-going at Sonic Vegemite? =)
While I'm slowly getting back into art once again, I'm looking for a few collaborative websites/forums who can help redraw sketches and/or thumbnails. You know, artists collaborating with other artists for certain drawings, storyboards, comics, etc?
