Well, not like anyone's missed me or anything, but I'm back. I've been either really busy working on Bluwave, formerly known as BloopBloop for those of you who've forgotten, or I've been working on a currently unnamed RPG me and SoustekD are making to be our first console game. The past week or so, however, I've spent very little time on the RPG, and moreso working on Bluwave. I came to the painful conclusion that the "Anthropomorphic Planetoid" look just didn't work out. And so I called my friend on the phone and we decided when and if we come up with a better design that works on first glance before the end of the year, we'd stick with it. Naturally, being a Sonic fan, I jumped toward the anthropomorphic animal look, an otter to be more specific. However, the best thing I was able to draw was this; obvious why it wouldn't work out. SoustekD had even worse luck. And by that I mean he completely slacked off hoping the contest would automatically end up a loss and we'd stick with the old "BloopBloop" look. At the time, I really couldn't blame him. BloopBloop- er... Bluwave was our creation, and he was almost like a son to us (and I don't mean THAT if that's what you're thinking). Then came that fateful day in Spanish class. I was bored and had already finished everything, so I decided to draw. I ended up creating what turned out to be our winner. Instead of the blue orb with floating black gloves and red shoes, I made something far better. So good, SoustekD even had to admit it was incredible.
I don't have a scanner, so I guess I'll just describe it as best I can: First off, He's human(ish). His skin is sort of a light tan, and he has big anime-styled eyes. His hair and eyes are both blue, and he's wearing massive goggles over his forehead, which are a sky-blue. On his left ear is a small headset (So whenever you randomly hear Cosmo's or someone else's voice, it's logically explainable, as opposed to Sonic games). He's also wearing a blue jacket over a black t-shirt, and black gloves that cut off at the knuckles. His pants are the only clothes he wears to break off from his original color scheme, and they're sort of a khaki tannish brown. His shoes are bascially idential to the old style, but with holes to put his feet in. <<; Cosmo and Redwave are also being worked on currently, and we're considering adding a new character to be the cutesy anime critter mascot.
As for the actual game, some big changes are being made to it as well. One thing is our original focus was for the game to be a 3D platformer, but it's starting to lean more and more towards an action RPG. As for the story, the current idea we're deciding on isn't the story itself, but rather it's presentation. We've decided the game will have voice acting, but more in a similar style to Sonic Rush or Zelda games. Bluwave speaking is becoming an increasingly hard decision. We aren't yet sure if we want Bluwave to be a Silent protagonist or a chatterbox. I'm out of time, and unfortunetly have alot left to say. But I can't. I'll try to add more ASAP. But to conclude, really, with all the change, Bluwave and BloopBloop aren't even comparable anymore.
