Ah, from that angle I thought it was a motorcycle. I take it you bought the full version of TrackMania then (*still uses TM Forever*)

I take it you bought the full version of TrackMania then (*still uses TM Forever*) Yeah, I was starting to get slightly bored with the Stadium environment. Also, should I ever come across a better connection, I wished to be able to show off custom cars. Oh yeah. Here. SKG_Tangleknot. Uses the Stadium environment. ...And the replay that Max sent me since he's a much better driver than I am. ---------------------------------------------------- WOW I got a scare just now. I was walking to a math class when my backpack suddenly turns in its two week notice and tries to take my laptop with it. For a split second I entertained the thought that someone was apparently trying to unzip my backpack and take the stuff inside while I was still wearing it, but when I turned around, I saw my laptop carrying case fall upon the concrete. Luckily the laptop itself is undamaged (aside from a slightly tweaked corner), but there's a hole in the carrying case now where it was between the concrete and the laptop inside. Definitely going to put my external hard drive into use this weekend, though. And definitely getting a larger, sturdier backpack.

What does THIS beautiful little pic tell you peoples? FULL STORY: So I was recently trying to make some little interactive Blender stuff. So far I'd made a little starship flying thing (good possibilities but the game engine is a little bit unstable when it comes to textures now), a "gravity car" (experiment to see if I could simulate gravity), and a hovercraft. I had been trying to make another car, this time one that could properly steer, but I had no idea how to do that part. Sure I had the wheels working, but any attempt to turn them or the vehicle as a whole had them jitter and scrape along the "ground" in an alarming way. So I decided to look for a couple tutorials for once. I found a tutorial site that informed me that Blender came with a "Vehicle Wrapper" script, and how to properly take advantage of it. After a bit of experimenting, I had a car that worked. (Ugly as hell, though) Ran it through a couple of tests, including a long track and a loop-de-loop (performed remarkably well). So I got curious and explored more of the tutorial site. I found... a script. For the proper control of a camera using a mouse. You can probably guess what happened next. tl;dr I CAN MAKE DRIVING AND FIRST PERSON SHOOTER GAME-LIKE THINGS USING BLENDER. Nothing in the system for trace bullets yet, so everything's physics for now. But still.

Not at all. In fact, I hope you don't mind mirroring a couple more... (lower left box is a soft body object, i.e. acts sorta like a cube of Jello) Playing around at the moment while I try to think about what to experiment with next. (I think I've found a solution to the texture crashing thing...) What's new at the moment? Visible changes: Updated handgun model, a skybox that doesn't clip with anything, and a couple of the boxes on the platform have a reflection-mapped version of the skybox tex. Non-visible changes: A modified version of the jump I had been using that doesn't reset lateral velocity (might change it back, though), and a couple of floating spheres I forgot to take screenshots of. Currently planned stuff: "Ammo charge" system for the handgun (slows down firing rate when charge is low), changing of the movement system so the player has more control (currently moves like you're on a slightly icy surface), and possibly moving the handgun to an "overlay" scene (so it doesn't clip with objects in front of you, plus enough space for a target reticule). I have no idea where this will go, but... well, I was suddenly reminded of an old game I made earlier today... (which I can't seem to find the thread for)

Spacey's got a gun..
And a creepy jello box.
If you add an awesomeface to that jello box, and give it red eyes, it will haunt my nightmares for eternety.
Right now, it just haunts tonight's nightmares that there's AN EVIL JELLO-Y BOX COLORED LIKE THAT.
I like the idea of the ammo change, too.
