Because crossovers are exciting and doesnt have the same exact story suited for that specific character everytime. Comics are SUPPOSED to define the laws of physics therfore, crossovers are the most sensible choice because we dont want mario saving peach in every story or comic. It needs SPICE. It needs PIZZAZZ.

It needs to be controlled by someone who doesn't act like the failing students in my old drama class. -.-
Non-crossovers do not necessarily have the same story over and over again. You can defy the norm if you wish. It happens quite frequently, and yet the author/ess doesn't use a single crossover. I did it (even if I haven't continued the fanfic. >>).
Crossovers can have pride in their own way. Link and Mario doesn't have pride. It's as old as time.

Crossovers are not "SPICY" or "PIZZAZZI" or whatever if it's something as old as time like a Mario and Link crossover. Hell, why not something more origional? Like a Quake/Halo crossover? That could work. Or if sprites is the problem, why not a Zelda/Metroid crossover?

I think the problem is he thinks that just because he's using Sonic sprites he has to follow canon or something. It doesn't HAVE to follow canon. You don't even have to acknowlage Sonic in these comics. Use the sprites like characters, don't let them use you. 95% of the time, people just recolor Sonic sprites, slap them on a background, and make a completely original story, or something vaguely resembling one. And they do just nicely, thank you very much.

He/she/it is saying that I am an idiot for complimenting them, which not only shows their complete low self esteem, but that it also must not have read my comment. I was only saying that they don't HAVE to follow canon or do cliche crossovers to make a comic. If SCFH or LOL: WAFFLES did that, they wouldn't be around anymore, would they? No, because they realise you don't need to bow down to that brazen Sonic idol in your room and make Sonic the main character in your comic.

Randomness = Good when handled well. You are not handling it well.
Mario and Link Crossover = Very overdone. Very overdone.

Isn't this redudndant? We tell Solanaco, "Don't do it, it's a cliche." "Improve your spriting skills," "Improve your humor." And then, lo and behold, he doesn't. We then lambast Solanaco for not taking our advice, Solanaco apologises and promises to make it better, to which he then makes, big suprise, another crappy comic. I say, either lock the topic or ignore this thread, since apparently, Solanaco only does this for the sake of listening to the sound of it's fingers against the keys.
