Let me tell you what I've been doing recently.

I have been dismantling swarming virus-worms attacking a ball of video hovering over Earth.
I have been turning the barnacles attached to a space whale into diamonds so that it can become a phoenix.
I have been purifying corrupted moths over a carpet of ocean-flowers.
I have been dodging giant atoms on a trip through human technology.
I have been shooting glowing blossoms on a tree made of memories.


No I'm not on anything.

It's Child of Eden, and the normal-difficulty story mode is very short (I've finished it in two days, and according to the leaderboards I'm one of the first 400 people to do so)

But it's ninjaing brilliant. The levels are actually quite hard but you benefit from incremental improvement when you play them.
The graphics are great and the whole mix of graphics, sound and rumble controller means you can really get into the game. (No I don't have Kinect.)

Plus there's a hard mode, lots of unlockables, and even a free play mode for if you just want to chill.

Look, it's Rez 2. It's a trippy rail-shooter that's heaps of fun.

I should have heard about this game already. What platforms is it on?

That's some Kinect and Move stuff right? I remember seeing it some time last year or earlier this year. Looked like a major tripfest in a good way.

Yep. Xbox 360 now, PS3 in September.
Kinect and Move are optional, the game works with a standard controller.

Reviewers who have been using Kinect have been... well, I won't say overenthusiastic, but basically they are suggesting that playing Child of Eden on Kinect can cure all known diseases and bring peace to the Middle East. But it's perfectly fun with a normal controller too.

It's the only game on Kinect that I personally find LOOKS like fun.



Heavy Rain on Move is just hilarious though. Watching my friend just suck at it. Jesus.
