I CAN, IN FACT, PROVE THAT "CLASSIC" SONIC (the only correct Sonic, as all TRUE FANS should know) IN THE NEWEST ABOMINATION CALLED GENERATIONS HAS HIS PROPORTIONS ALL WRONG COMPARED TO THE GENESIS MASTERPIECES.

The Hex code for "Classic Sonic"'s pupils is #020003. Any real Sonic fan would tell you that in the Genesis games, the Hex code for Sonic's pupils is #080808!
Also, screw Roger Craig Smith. How dare he take over VAing for Jason Griffith, who took over for Ryan Drummond. How dare he think he could possibly do Sonic justice. We should go back to the original classic voice actor. That's right, Jaleel White. Because unless Sonic sounds like a half-breed of Steve Urkel and Stefan Urquelle from Family Matters, THIS GAEM IS RUINED FOREVER!!hyperbole!1!
SRS Mode: Actually, it would be kind of cool to have Classic Sonic voiced by Jaleel White instead of random sound effects. But either one is fine by me. Not that it matters, since it isn't coming out for the Wii.

Also, nope. I don't watch Sailor Moon. Now that's a lie and you know it. Not too long back you were working on a fandub, and you introduced me to Sailor Moon Abridged. Ain't nothin' to be ashamed of. In defence of MLP, it's directed by Lauren Faust, wife of Craig McCracken. Craig McCracken came up with the Power Puff girls concept, while Lauren Faust developed the art style for it. Both also worked on Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends. They're pretty good at this kind of thing. They also keep very close to the fans (kinda like Valve and Notch do). Both have deviantart accounts where you can see their latest art and concepts, they're easy to contact, and the team behind MLP FiM actually kept a close eye on /co/ when the show first came out. They even made Derpy Hooves, a fan character based on a background joke in the first episode, an official recurring character. Yeah it has some lame puns, but the fact that it's a genuinely entertaining show with some nice digital animation, developed by a group of people who care for both their craft and their fans, AND features Tara Strong as Twilight Sparkle, makes it a bloody awesome show. I'm pretty late to the party, i've only seen the first few episodes so far, but I love it! :3 Honestly, I really wasn't expecting it to be as good as it was.

I will add an actual comment here: The reason I said the VGCats thing was because I actually first watched it because they linked it, I was making some attempt at being tongue in cheek by suggesting that everyone experiences everything in the way that I do. Okay I'm not funny, but hey. Anyway, I did watch a couple of episodes - as Bish pointed out the animation quality was nice, the art style looked good and vibrant, the voice acting also wasn't awful but frankly there was nothing about the dialogue of the show that I liked, just kind of laced with awful puns and what appeared to be a painfully clichéd narrative (with FRIENDSHIP ). It was too good to be 'so bad that it's good', too bad to be genuinely enjoyable and for me just kind of stuck in the middle ground of 'okay I'm watching this and I feel a bit awkward that I am'. It kind of strikes me as analogous to the whole 'uncanny valley' thing whereby almost realistic figures of humans just look creepy until they look sufficiently human enough. Don't feel bad, though, I also get that with shows like CSI when they commit acts of technological idiocy yet my media teacher informs me that that show is wonderful so what do I know? In general my responses to shows can be predicted as such: low production values + poor dialogue/narrative: mild amusement low production values + good dialogue/narrative: cool, I feel so indie high production values + good dialogue/narrative: awesome high production values + poor dialogue/narrative: cringe

By "a couple of episodes", do you literally mean a couple, as in two?
Because as far as I know the first two episodes are the only one with a adventuring narrative (technically a two part pilot episode). All the episodes afterwards lean more towards "kooky slice of life ala Lucky Star" territory.

Is this the one gaming board where you can't even talk about games any more? And you wonder why it's so dead.

Don't blame me, I bought up the Rayman Origins trailer... And then I believe there were some Saint's Row The Third pics too.
Also, here's an idea. How about someone start an MLP thread in Fluff or GD? They could use some activity.
Also, maybe I should go bump the Minecraft thread?
