I was actually hoping to reveal I was Sonar through a sekrit in a game I was making. Unfortunately game is a turd right now and it didn't look like this place would last long enough Have some screenshots and a link to a download of the game in it's present state: www.mediafire.com/?59103y2cb2vsps3The game is named after the song that inspired it: development of this game is currently going at a snail's pace. Also there is only one track in the actual game (as in the levels, not the title or the credits) and it's been lifted from Yume 2kki. You can mute that KIPPERS with the M key.

I LOVE it. The effects are cool (I can see how you got the Yume 2kki inspiration), although I find the bosses are outrageously annoying. Maybe make them not as fast and not optional. I can also sit back and keep whacking them, as they stop moving when they're stunned and I can lock them in one place. You made all these graphics yourself, I see, and they're awesome. The last boss was wicked.
I don't understand the difference between normal enemies and red enemies.
There needs to be a difference between the portals that end the level and the portals that enemies spawn out of so that I don't try to jump into them.
There's no reason to ever use the short jump, maybe make a small platforming section.
The level where you are told to jump down through the floor can be completed in seconds. Maybe put up a lock around the exit so that you have to go through the rest of the level to get there.
Speaking of locks, I find their colour scheme too out of place. Since there are only two kinds of locks, red and green, maybe make them different shades of grey or red and something else. It's just the green really sticks out and it's a bit weird.
Finally, NEEDS CREEPY EASTER EGGS. Maybe a wall that you can walk through or break without notification. Or misleading/weird hints. Or make a level where the landscape changes with the effects.
Game needs to be longer (of course, since it's a demo)
There needs to be some reason for the score meter, like a high score list or something- or else something like eversion where the score meter eventually turns out to be meaningless.

Red enemies are supposed to be more dangerous, and in most cases this means faster. And the basic mooks (the pac-man ghosts) start chasing you instead of moving mindlessly back and forth. Eventually the bosses will be made necessary to continue. They're only optional for easier testing of everything right now. And in the level you have mentioned, there are already locks and a little dickish trick to make the level longer, but for some undetectable reason the locks JUST PLAIN DISAPPEAR when the level starts. I have yet to figure out why. Whoops, I seem to have mixed up what level you are referring to here. Please confirm. I'm gonna fix the lock color schemes after this. Try playing the level with the jump down segment again, but ignore the first portal. Also there are already creepy easter eggs planned... If I had gone with my original plan of using this game as a way to reveal that I am Sonar, I would have had a special room accessible with a password or something that would convey said revelation (and resemble YN's Aztec Rave Monkey scene), I eventually got bored and scrapped the whole plan and went on a hiatus from posting here. Yes, it will get longer from here on. Also glad to see the last boss is a hit with you, that one was a totally random idea. And now have a preview of a planned boss (if you look in the GMK, he's already there): And while you're at it, try a failed attempt at drawing the protagonists of this game.

It's the level where you're told that you can jump down through platforms. Also, I saw that on your dA already

It's the level where you're told that you can jump down through platforms. But that one HAS a key and locks in it, or did I place the same hint in two places?

I dunno, I just jumped down through the first platform and instantly got to the exit. okay, I think a screenshot would be needed. But there is one level which has locks in place that for some reason disappear when the level starts
