I agree. But what though - we haven't done anything in ages. The last thing we did do as a community was Abducted, and Roby's not going to continue that until summer(?).
Vampire or something similar would be good - we haven't had one of those in a long while. Minceraft would also be a good idea if anyone can get a server up.

I dunno, it's a videogames forum and NOBODY HERE SEEMS TO PLAY VIDEOGAMES.

Sex appeal probably wouldn't end well, no.
Maybe we should bake a cake. A COMMUNITY CAKE.
Or waffles.
(also it's not our fault that we want quality over quantity with new members, and nobody on the internet is quality. D=)

I agree that another community activity would be good to have.
This is just off the top of my head, but we could re-populate SV by making a new fangame, like that WTGB thing.

I'd be for that, but last time it didn't go too well (SVTG). I think the problem was that it was vastly over ambitious and that we don't really coordinate ourselves very well for any reasonable period of time. Edit: Yes I do realise I'm just kind of urinating over everything in this thread. I'll stop now. Go on IRC or something I dunno.

If we do try to make a game again, probably best that we don't choose to create the whole thing from scratch.
What about a mod for Sonic Robo Blast 2?

SRB2 would be good to mod.
Here's where I'd suggest something else.

That sounds like a gigantic pain in the... oh right I said I'd stop doing that. I don't think the problem was 'trying to create from scratch' so much as the scope of the project was ridiculous, for example having 11 playable characters with their own unique abilities and whatnot - it all sounds fine until you try to actually balance such features with actual gameplay. Then there was the whole 'let's just put all the responsibility on one guy to program the whole thing' when there are clearly sub-tasks in that regard that could be delegated provided the organisational structure was there. Also I got the impression that people became less interested as it became apparent that a game based on characters that originated from people who decided they'd like to have that particular character represent them on a forum was somewhat less than a good idea. Particularly as people like to completely change those character designs or as we've seen before, find some way to exclude themselves from the community thereby making use of their character inappropriate for such a game.

How about a hentai dating sim? It's a game, and sex appeal! *shot*

But it has to be relevant to SV, meaning either pics of ourselves (and most of us aren't female, let alone barely legal Japanese schoolgirls) or our Sonic fancharacters. So we'll either attract the yaoi fangirls, the furries, or furry yaoi fangirls.

What ever happened to Robot Jones the Dramatic Readings Project? No one was dramatic enough. If we make our own game from scratch, simplicity is sort of a must. (like Hard ololol) I'll be willing to help out in the music department (and also maybe the programming realm, depending on what we use to code the game).
