I'm currently working on programming a game for an independent study class. However, I am at an impasse in improving it. See, I need graphics. And I'm not very good at pixelart anymore.
This is where you guys come in.
The game I'm making takes place in an egyptian tomb (this will be the theme), and will require a tileset for the wall as well as a tiling texture for the floor and a picture for various objects.
THE FOLLOWING SPRITES ARE NEEDED:
WALL TILES - 20x20 pixels
Isolated wall - no connections to any other tiles
One-connection wall - connected to exactly one other tile
Two-connection wall (corner) connected to two tiles 90 degrees apart
Two-connection wall (line) - connected to two tiles 180 degrees apart
Three connection wall - Connected to three tiles
Four-connection wall (intersection) - Connected to four tiles
OTHER:
Floor tile - 20x20 pixels, should be easily differentiable from the wall in low light (the game is largely about darkness) - CONTRIBUTED BY SHIVER
OBJECTS - Can be any size, must fit in 20x20 pixels.
Relic - Should be golden, but can otherwise take any form.
Gunpowder trail - Can be either tile-encompassing or work like the linked wall tiles above
Gunpowder keg - Preferably made of wood.
Torch (empty) - Attached to wall, top-down perspective, bracket only
Torch (lit) - Attached to wall, contains a torch flame (not animated)
Torch (burnt out) - As above with no flame
Bonfire (unlit) - Large pile of wood.
Bonfire (lit) - Large flame
Fire - Self-explanatory
Light focus - Some sort of crystal-looking thing that focuses light in a given direction. It should clearly point in a single cardinal direction.
LIVING THINGS:
Characters - There are four separate characters you'll be able to control in this game. It's up to you guys what their physical traits are (I can discuss them with you if you like), but I'm looking for a different look for each of them
Creatures - Should be black and menacing. Beyond that, it's your call.
Anyone who contributes pixelart will get a mention in the credits page of the game, which I'll be posting to SV when I'm done (programmed in Java, so no worries about compatibility).
