I commented on this on Facebook. I said that "Anything that requires that much explanation shouldn't be a mascot, also what is the writer on about, they look nothing like Sonic. I don't think they could appeal to children at all."

Too much of a story behind it. I think it's a good idea at some extent, but i'm almost certain that people will forget about this when London 2012 actually begins.

Actually it can be said better. Worst idea since Atlanta. Stupid mascots, stupid logo, stupid organising committee. Can't wait for the Olympic Torch to look like a pile of steel-mill slag.
