Not sure whether this is old or not, but its just too damn awesome nevertheless. You have a world. You place blocks to build stuff. There's a 1 player survival mode where you just gather resources (not sure what you do with them yet), or a single or multiplayer creative mode where you just build KIPPERS. It's epic. It's all in-browser stuff, which is cool I guess but it's laggy when you have a load of tabs open. Clicky clicky. Shame the final will cost, but IMO it's €20 worth spending.

Already tried it out a while back (VGcats recommended it).
It's pretty fun. When I get enough time I want to download one of the level editors and make a Mirror's Edge level.

Just thought I'd bump this a bit.
While Minecraft is in Alpha, it's being sold for 9.95 Euros instead of 20. Once it moves to Beta, it will be back at 20.

Indeed. I've just bought this. The good thing is that it's browser-based so you can just log in and you have the full version on every computer you go on. The bad thing is that it's browser-based and it turns my laptop into molten lava.
There's an infdev now which gives is supposed to give you infinitely long maps. Haven't tried it out yet cause I'm still exstatic that you can get a floating island map on indev. Angel Island much? I should think so.
EDIT: Just realised this is the 11,000th post in this LotN. Woot.
