Oh hi. So, as one of my many "probably will never finish" projects, I was making a large map for SRB2. Said map was going to include a custom bgm. Never finished the map, but here's the current song after a long-ish process of Noteworthy Composer/Synthfont/Audacity work. Tentative title: Castle de Space Rock. Started with a base I had used before, and just made up the rest as I went along. Originally had a march beat to it, before I realized my march beat sucked and decided to make up a generic beat. Short as it's still unfinished (and I probably never will finish it.)

After looking at the pictures you took, the music fits the scene well. I thought the synth saxophone sounded a little too fake, but since you're using MIDI sound files, I don't know what you can do there. Also, is the final product going to be in MIDI format since you're using MIDI programs? If you're using MP3 files, you could always use LMMS. It works like Fruity Loops, but free and open source. Then just import the WAV into Audacity and save it as an MP3.

Then just import the WAV into Audacity and save it as an MP3. The saxophone sounds fake since that was the base that came with Synthfont; although I found some excellent high-quality soundfonts and used them for the other instruments, their version of the saxophone just didn't sound right. The final version will come in both MIDI and MP3 flavors, since the game I was making the map and music for supports both formats (well, OGG instead of MP3). Basically, I made the MIDI file, ran it through Synthfont using various soundfonts, recorded each track to separate files, and mixed them all together in Audacity while overusing a reverb effect.
