So by "at first glance" do you mean "I have absolutely no idea what this does"? Because it's actually pretty useful. You put a pokemon from one of your PC boxes into the Pokewalker (and pick a route, which determines which pokemon appear/what items), and then when you take a step it gains 1 EXP, although a pokemon can only gain 1 level per walk (and can't evolve or learn a move if it does). The longer you walk also increases the pokemon's affection towards you. Also, every 20(?) steps you get a Watt, which can be used to either look for items along the route or battle wild pokemon, which you can catch. The pokemon can also randomly find more watts for you. When you're done, you can transfer the pokemon and items back to your game, and it'll tell you if it leveled up. With the watts you've earned, you can unlock more routes to go on, and there'll be an event to download a route starting on April 1, which will have Pikachus to catch that know Fly or Surf. You can also do something similar to the original G/S/C Mystery Gift with the Pokewalker that gives you a random item. So just today I took it to school with me with Fägerstrom (was about 3200 steps when I got home), and he managed to gain a level, really likes me now, and I caught a Venonat and a Spearow. tl;dr yeah it's really useless and gimmicky just listen to Farmer everybody |

Man, tons of people are using Wooper. I might just end up doing it too when I get the game... Wooper and Quagsire are just so HAPPY.

Anyway, yeah. F*ck Wooper. I just whip out my Weepinbell and let the X4 type advantage good times roll.
Currently stuck on the sixth gym until my f*ckin' Vulpix (inappropriately named WuTangClan) is a high enough level to avoid getting one-shotted by b*tchface's first f*cking pokémon. Which is a problem, because I cannot find f*ckin' anywhere to grind between early twenties up to about thirty. Any suggestions?
