I find it deeply disturbing that you guys keep buying pokemon games. WELL YOU SEE WHILE THE GAMES ARE ON THE SURFACE CHILDISH AND SIMPLE, THERE IS INDEED A HIDDEN LAYER OF DEEP STRATEGY AND who am I kidding, I'm a big baby and I play these for fun.

Look at it this way: NO MOTHERF*CKING ZUBAT. Hey, if every generation they replaced the rodent/bird combo, what makes you think they won't replace Zubat with another goddamnt bat? Which is still 100% better than seeing another freaking Zubat AGAIN.

The reason I don't bother with pokemon that much is because sometimes I find it hard to keep playing a game for long periods of time. Which lets be honest, pokemon NEEDS.
Kinda got 4 badges in Platinum then just gave up and revised for exams >>

I find it hard to keep playing a game for long periods of time. Yeah, except for those times when you played a game until like 5AM... And that's just Saints Row 2.

You just pick it up and play and BLARGH about like. Pokemon had nothing to keep me going on it. I'VE BEEN PLAYING POKEMON FOR OVER 12 YEARS AND I STILL HAVEN'T COMPLETED IT MAN. f*cking catch em all my ass =(When I say long periods of time I mean months border on years on many years.

I cried tears of pure joy.
EDIT: Just to clarify a few things- The thing with the buttons is a puzzle. An element appears on the door and you need to hit the one that's super effective against it.
THE FIRST GYM IS A TRIPLE BATTLE
Reshiram has a jet engine on its tail. I ninjaing called it.
This is a compilation of videos, so there is some repeat footage.

THE FIRST GYM IS A TRIPLE BATTLE Actually, my Pokemon obsessed friend says that is a Rotation battle. The one infront takes the attacks and you can switch between them. Seems awful like a single battle to me.

Animated sprites yeeeessss I don't know why that made me happy but yeah. Hey when I first got Sonic Advance I was amazed at the fact that Sonic didn't just stand motionless when he wasn't walking/running.

You can get a used DS around here for £25, which I bet is less than the game's going to cost.
