 I did a Sonic thing! *gasp* Other drawings can currently be found here for the interested. My dA profile is irregularly updated, but has some (crappy) stories and some (decidedly less crappy) photos in addition to the (of a degree of crappiness somewhere between the two aforementioned) drawings. |

Practice. Practice is triple awesome and super fun as well (and mega cool also)
I'll probably finish colouring above-posted picture at some point. I've already flat-coloured it but am experimenting with emulating the way Sonic Team shade their artwork. If I celshaded it I could have it done by now ><

Are you inking it on Photoshop or are you inking it by hand. I'm currently experimenting with computer inking and hand inking.

Pencil (regular HB, I hear good things about propelling pencils but as long as I sharpen mine with a knife they seem to be ok) and ink (edding 1880 0.1, 0.3, 0.5 and 0.7 thickness) by hand. Scan, reduce to grayscale, turn contrast up to +100 and adjust brightness for thickness of the lines, then magic wand the black and right-click layer-via-cut.
Then I can start colouring.
I do occasionally draw pictures on the computer but I prefer to do all my pencil and ink either on the computer or on paper, rather than mix the two.

Oh JFC so glad that they are all links and not thumbnails, was afraid this place would be a walk of shame anyways uh, casual bump here are some things that are more recent 10th March 2010, an old orc1st March 2011, ursala looking miserable3rd April 2012, Ursala as a human17th September 2012, two drawings of Ursala, height comparison of most of my RP mains, spectrumslide of Thrall and Jainawarnings for nekkid orcs on the last two links 1st Jan 2013, anatomy practice5th Jan 2013, personality piece of Ursala and her... very good friendsis it possible i actually got worse at drawing since 2010/11?? why yes, yes it is. |
