So, my new computer came today. It's an HP Pavilion Slimline s3842uk, costing £699. Here's what I got for my money: - AMD# AMD Phenom X3 8750 Triple-Core processor
# (2.40GHz, 2MB Cache)
- Genuine Windows Vista® Home Premium
- 4GB DDR2 memory
- 640GB SATA hard drive (7200rpm)
- 512MB NVIDIA® GeForce GT120 (Y'know Zae, the one you said was 'not that impressive'?
 )
- Dual Layer DVD Rewriter
- 6x USB and 1x FireWire port
- DVI, VGA and HDMI video output
- 10/100 network LAN
It also is Blu-Ray compatible and came with a 20" HP2009v monitor, wireless keyboard and wireless mouse (even though I won't use it.) I'll post comparison screenies between my old setup and the new soon. |

Congratulations, you have a reasonably good computer. Get a better graphics card and it'll be an awesome computer. |

It also is Blu-Ray compatible Yay. Now you can go out and spend money on movies you already own to experience them in equal, if not slightly better quality than DVDs. |

Remember when computers had only MB? I have a computer from 2001, and it has 1 Gig. Man, it's hard to imagine a time when people were so disbelieveing of the gig memory. Man, take a caveman to our time and show him an iPod, and he'll be staring at a lightbulb like it's a supercomputer! ;D
