Karma is your level of respect. If someone likes what you're doing, they can exalt you, increasing your karma. If they dislike what you do, they can smite you, decreasing your karma. Not everyone does this, but your karma is still a general indicator of the members' opinion of you.
Note that mods can change their karma. I haven't really been exalted 666 times.

I noticed that wdot and tenebris are now people in charge kinda. How do I become one? Sorry Tronic, but I just HAVE to steal your line... Currently there are some in Fluff or in the Look at what you've done boards. Fluff for if you don't have webspace, the latter for if you do.

Well, anyone can change it +/- 1 by Exalting or Smiting. Only mods can give it a specific number, as with post count. We can mess with any part of your profile if we want to.
