I'm considering getting a PS3. What HDD Size should I get? However big you want? You know you can just replace the hard drive with bigger ones anyway, right? I'm guessing you mean model type. Fat/Classic 20GB - PS2 compat, 2 USB 40GB - Non PS2, USB 60 - PS2, card reader, 4 USB 80 - Non PS2, Card Reader, 4USB Slim hard drives and KIPPERS man iunno cant remember

Unless you're really into the PS3 exclusives like Heavy Rain, I'd forget about the PS3 upgrade your PC to a decent gaming spec, providing it's a desktop and you've not already done that. If it's less than a few years old, then you only need to buy a decent graphics card which, around here at least, is about half the price of a PS3.
If you insist on a PS3, I'd probably recommend spending the money on a larger HDD so you won't regret it later should you fill a smaller one.

Jeez. He asked for a PS3, don't suggest to him otherwise, it's like suggesting a slab of concrete. Useless. You're like one of the annoying guys that misses the point on OcUK. Anyway. Any PS3 is good, I listed which have what features, and PS3s can easily have their hard drives swapped out for any 2.5" SATA hard drive. The PS3 uses 5,300RPM drives and if you put a 7,200RPM one in it won't go any faster, same goes for 10,000RPM or SSD.

Also, I'm not really close to filling the hard drive on my 40GB. Yes I have a bunch of demos, yes I've bought some games and DLC, yes some games install on to the drive. But it's not reached its limit yet. But I know what to do if it gets filled

Seriously, Farmer. If I may remove myself from my asshole persona for one second, that sh*t is just rude. The fact that he's asking which PS3 to get shows that he's already decided on which platform he has chosen to pursue, and telling him OMFG UR RONG GET THIS INSTEAD is the height of bad manners.

And that's why I gave him advice on a PS3 should he choose to take that route. In any case, the general consensus - especially around here it would seem - is that the PC is the better gaming platform.
In any case, it was a personal opinion and not an order. Please take that into account.

Moving on, I have a new question for the Sonic Vegemite crowd:
While my Dell Inspiron 546 is preventing me from sharing my mom's Kodak ESP 5 printer, which all-in-one printer would work best for me?

Questions like Ecos are answered by opinions.. there is no answer to a question like that that isn't an opinion..RK3: I picked up a Canon all-in-one (Scanner & Printer and Computerless operation) printer for ~£35 around here at least. I forget the exact model number I bought, and indeed it'll likely be a different model by now, but that cost next to nothing and it's been completely satisfactory for home use. So in a nutshell, the Canon PIXMA MP270 would be my recommendation, although it's A) Slightly more expensive than the model I bought in a physical shop and B) I don't actually know where you live, so that page isn't likely to be much use outside of the UK.

Your "opinions" were out of line.I would of course be hilarious by writing in really huge letters right now, but I really can't be bothered with this exchange. Bit of a long shot, but does anybody here know of a place where the PS2 Linux kit can be purchased? eBay is no help. Also, Pokemon Red. SS. Anne: Why am I here, precisely?

Also, Pokemon Red. SS. Anne: Why am I here, precisely? Another battle with your rival and to get HM01 Cut so you can continue on to challenge the Vermillion Gym Leader and make your way west of Cerulean.

Nevermind, I found what I was looking for online. Yeah, I'm from the USA, so I doubt it would be compatible with my computer. By the way, does YouTube work with videos containing FFDshow? By me having a 64-bit computer, I had to download the x64 version of FFDshow, so I could get DivX and XviD working in Sony Vegas 9 (x64 version). However, I'll see if FFDshow doesn't work well with Vegas.
