On Macromedia Flash, how exactly are you able to add music/sound effects to the animation?

There's 2 ways to do that, Adra. You can either make a new layer and add it via drag-n-drop. Of course, it will clog up a bunch of frames, but it's easy. If you want it to stop, just add a stopAllSounds(); in the frame you wish for it to stop.
The other way is making a linkage in Actionscript. First, you must have your audio clip in the library (duh), then, right click the audio file, select linkage, select "Export to ActionScript", add a name for it to link (IE "audio") and then add the following to a frame in AS:
var exampleSound:Sound - newSound(); <--- where exampleSound can be the name you want. It's a variable, so... yeah.
exampleSound:attachSound('audio'); <--- where 'audio' is the linkage name of your file
exampleSound.start(secondsOffset,loops); <--- Replace the secondsOffset with the time you want it to enter (a.k.a type 0 to make it start in that frame) and loops with how many times do you ant it to loop
and if you want it to stop, just type in exampleSound.stop(); in the frame you want it to stop.

Hello again! While my new Dell Inspiron 546 remains in production before it finally starts shipping into my area, I have a three questions for the Sonic Vegemite public to help get myself prepared even further:
1. Which gaming and/or screen recorder is the best in your opinion? FRAPS, ZDsoft, or something different?
2. Should I purchase Sony Vegas 9 Pro as an actual product? If so, I probably would have to wait until April or May, due to getting money each month, plus I haven't got employed as of yet.
3. Does anybody use Steam? For right now, I can't really use Steam on this Dell Dimension C521, because my video card...isn't up to date for today's standards.

I don't know the difference between 8 and 9. |
