Since everyone is pissed off at you, and I felt like playing Sonic 2 today, I will evaluate your project.
BUGZThis is a screenshot I took when the game frose. All I did was walk to the left. No jumping or rolling, just walking. I know an arrow was following me, and Tails hit it, and never spawned. Maybe that has something to do with it? Wing fortress does this also...
EDIT 2: I just read the other post. Currently investigating other levels.
Also I tried to imput the level select to avoid this level, but playing 65 on the sound test also frezes the game.
In two player, sound effects didnt play. However, after getting a 1up in one game, it started playing again. When I got speed shoes in another game, it also started playing sound effects untill it ended. This was tested in Casino Night. It did not effect Mystic Mine/Cave/Whatever I Can't Remember or Emerald Hill.
Collecting a 1up in Casino Night (At least in 2 Player VS) stops the music from playing. The invincibility music DID play, and the regular music played after it was finished. In the other stages, it played SPEED SHOES. What the hell?
EDIT 3: Played Oil Ocean, and got it from a monitor. Music stoped playing there too. Was corrected when I completed the act.
In Oil Ocean, the furnaces that shoot up the platforms make spring noises insted. And the title screen has the pickup ring sound insted of the sparkle sound. Are these intentional?
MUZIKZ01 - Are you working on replacing this too?
02 - The beginning beats sound wierd, and whatever "Instrument" (For lack of a better term) is playing the chorus notes sounds off. It sounds a bit too "Squealish" to me. the part after it is good though.
03 - The main notes are not loud enough in comparison to the "Back notes" (Geez, it's hard to talk about music when you lack the propor knowlege of terms to use). Otherwise it's fine.
04 - The "drum" beat does not go well with the main melody much. Speaking of said melody, it sounds WAY too high. sounds REALLY high znd "Screachy".
05 - Me lieky. No problems. Suprisingly fits well in Metropolis.
06 - The "Instruments" sound off-note at times, especially the "Drums;" they dont sound like they match the melody much at ALL. However, I dont remember the Sky High Zone BGM very well, so take this with a grain of salt.
07 - Did you change the drumbeat? Cuz it sound quite nice...
08 - Er... It's just slower? Um... You may wana pick a diffrent song. No offence, but this seems a bit lazy...
09 - Before I talk about the BGM, I would like to say I
LOVE the origional. A LOT. So I had high hopes.
The instrument used for the main notes seems like a bit of an odd choice. It doesen't fit that well, but it's not HORRID. I still like the origional much better though.
EDIT 2: WOAH, what the HELL? It plays in CASINO NIGHT?!? That's not even CLOSE to matching! I might just be overreacting due to it being my favorite song out of all the Sonic GG titles, but DAMN. If anything, it would be perfect for Oil Ocean.
0A - It's an okay choice... This plays on Death Egg, right? I cant help but feel there are better choices...
0B - Is this Mystic Mine/Cave/Whatever I Still Can't Remember's 2 Player alt? Come on, that's just lazy. I understand if it's just a placeholder though...
EDIT 3: May I suggest Sonic 2 GG's Underground Zone?
0C - I swear I didn't notice these nice drums before...
0D - the begining has this wierd screech in the notes...
EDIT 3: I know the PERFECT song to play here. In Sonic Triple Trouble, there was that one segment where you jump on a train, and had to make your way to the front where the boss was. It's PERFECT for this!
0E - I can see why it changed in the final. Really, you can find a diffrent song, can't you? Sorry, but I cant help but feel this is a tad lazy.
0F - Ditto the last two sentences of the above. It just does not seem diffrent enough to be included.

KNOW you cant find a better song. EDIT: How about the one in Ristar?
11 - I love this song, really I do, but as a menu song? It does not really match...

The whole thing just doesent click to me. It sounds like a monkey bashing on a keyboard. Also, the part after the chorus sounds WAY diffrent than the origional.
I do have some suggestions for a replacement...

Mean Bean Machine - V.S. Dr. Robotnik AKA Stage 13 (I think)
Megaman: The Wily Wars - Pretty much any of the 3 VS. Robot Master themes.

15 - ...Are you sure this is a FAILED import? A bit squealish, but not bad. Infact, It would not sound too bad at Casino Night 1P. Simple, just put the Curent Casino Night 1P in Oil Ocean, and put this there.
16 - SUPER VANILLA AVERAGE. I'm sure you can find something better.
17 - I always hated this song playing when I was Super in S3&K, but as a short invincibility tune, it's fine.

MUST oppose to this. Even the origional will suffice!
18 - ...after playing this in the soundtest, it playes 09...
19 - It's awesome (One of my favorites in this collection in fact), but it sure as hell does not match the current title screen. For some reason, I get the mental image of a highway in an urban area at night.
1A - I never liked this tune to be honest. But that's just me.
...But if you can somehow replicate US Sonic CD's Stage clear, that would kick SO MUCH ASS. (I dont know if it's diffrent in the J version.)
1B - The "Splashes" in the begining stand out. and not in a good way.
1C - Where does THIS play? I really like it!
1D - No reall comment nessesarry.
1E - Ditto 1C.
1F - I'm pretty sure Continuing in Sonic 1 didn't involve drowning.
