The other day I decided to come up with a completely new game idea. The reason being, none of the games I've made so far have really been my own idea. (Game Maker Sonic, School Yard, etc.) So I sat down and thought, "What hasn't been done yet?" So, the idea I came up with was this:  The basic premise of this game is that you, Charles Yorke, have crashed your small aircraft on an island in the middle of the Atlantic. The strange thing is, this is a temperate forest you've crashed in, and there is a large mixture of British and American fauna. This is a screenie of the first area in the game: (Minus objects.)  SO! I need MIDI MAKERS! Post your ideas/sound samples for the main menu of the game. Something you could associate with a deciduous forest. Your help will be GREATLY APPRECIATED! |

Use a plainer font for the HUD, it looks pretty unprofessional with the squiggly text. >>

I know, but I'm doing my best not to use music from other games. That, and I'm yet to find a MIDI of the Pikmin theme. |

Done with virtual instruments and stuff, it's NOT a MIDI, so if you need it in a format other than mp3 you'll have to mention that so I can convert it. |

I hope this game actually comes into fruition, Any info you can give about the gameplay? The HUD's interesting. Possibly try and collect ship parts while maintaining the stats or something? and talking to someone increases the Sanity level? And what does Charles Yorke look like?
EDIT: Also, Shard, How the hell did you make that? It's awesome.

EDIT: Also, Shard, How the hell did you make that? It's awesome. Think of the sanity level as a timer. It will slowly decrease over time, and performing tasks just freezes it temporarily. You have to complete the game before it empties, otherwise Charles will have a nervous breakdown and commit suicide. The aim of the game is to collect resources while keeping alive and sane. Every time you collect a certain amount of resources, (This is through chipping away rock or cutting down trees.) you are given the option to trade it in for a part of the boat you're making or tools/weapons. There will be animals wandering the forest for you to catch and eat. You can catch stuff faster if you invest in a weapon. Performing tasks drains your Hunger and thirst. And as for the appearance of this Charles fellow? I just googled "Brown haired man." XD  This is his mugshot for when he talks. His in-game sprite is:  |
