Anyway, this sprite comic thread is quite lacking in the comic department, wouldn't you say?

Sorry. I havent been here in a while have I? Well im going to finally START the comic now. Its gonna be the best one yet, lacking in the resizement department. And the storylien department, and the joke department, etc... You've more or less already shattered any hope I may of had of this improving.

Youre talking about canary mary in Banjo-Tooie right? Youre kidding me... I seriously doubt it. I'm not sure what she was specifically referring to, but the idea of a canary in a coal mine didn't come from a video game. Canaries were used to detect issues with the air condition before it affected miners. By which I mean... If the canaries died, you knew the air was bad and left.

Correct. I think she was saying that this comic is unsafe so a canary would be unnecessary, hence the strikethrough.
... Or Canary in a Coalmine could be a reference to a song. Which would be much like Dooms.
But yeah. Nothing to do with Canary Mary. I don't even REMEMBER Canary Mary. >>

Banjo Tooie's canary mary must've originated from the song or vice-versa.

Considering the original use of canaries seems to fit the theme for a song by that band...
Canary Mary is not a reference. In turn she is not referenced. That is all.
