God has heard the prayers of gamers.. And answered them.Superhero MMORPG due for release in about a year. Yes, it's developed by Cryptic, who also made the giant pile of ass expansion pack CoV, but that's because they were constrained by the equally giant pile of crap that is NCSoft. |

It's an MMO, no matter how good some elements of the game are, there will always be the repetitive grind, or loads of repetitive quests. It will not be designed for fun, as with all MMOs it will be designed soley to keep the player playing giving as little away as possible in order to mercilessly draw out the experience.
Well, that's my opinion anyway.

Well, that's my opinion anyway. The fact that it hasn't been done yet doesn't mean an MMO based on fun can't exist.  Personally I think it would be good to see different genres in an MMO style. Imagine, say, an MMO in the style of GTA. Or maybe an MMORTS. There's quite a few possibilities. Sadly, it seems that everyone wants to make fantasy MMO clones because Blizzard did it and got rich... |
