I remember Von Neumann machines. I wrote a sci-fi about those once. Great article. I love lists like that.

This is almost as good as that Supervillian list.

I saw the original Geocide site a while ago. Still good stuff.

It's horrible but pretty funny because it can't happen. No one will destroy Earth on purpose. We all know that we're all screwed in 2012 anyway.

We all know that we're all screwed in 2012 anyway. Yes, when the Mayans all come back from the dead to eat our brains. *nods*

Seriously, earthquakes won't all around the world at the same time in December of 2012, and even if they do they're not gonna destroy the world. Mayans can't predict the future so get over it. This is like the Y2K bug. It was made out to be the end of the world but all that happened was that computers got their clocks set back, big whoop.
Edit: Damnit! I hate it when I make typos!

For the longest time this was true. But, yeah, I'd just be repeating myself going on about the whole what I think about people who think they get to witness the end of all existence.

Wow. Like a two month bump. And like most bumps it was a crappy post anyway.
Hoo how did I miss that?

I'll allow a bump if the thread is still on the first page and the topic isn't obsolete, both of which apply here.
