Things change. People change. Hopefully for the better. Not always.
Rules change. These are them.
1) Don't Be An Idiot, part 1
Having some form of basic common sense and respect for your fellow posters is not difficult. Really. You all have human interactions of some sort, I'm assuming, and I'm going to wager most of you manage not to get punched in the head on a daily basis. Don't be a netwarrior and don't pretend it's big or clever to be a complete jerk.
Do not under any circumstances try to turn this forum into YOU: THE MB. The internet does not revolve around you and we aren't here to be your pity party.
Hey, before I forget? This also goes for any form of net-wangst, but particularly carrying your "oh, but he said, oh, but she said" MSN conversations over to here. Christ, and people wonder why I don't use instant messengers. We're not here to play yard-duty teacher for the internet playground.
2) Don't Be An Idiot, part 2
Spell and punctuate correctly. I don't care how old you are or what language you speak, you will at least put in the effort.
3) Post Only When You Have Something To Say
Every random thought in your head doesn't need to be here. If this is your game I invite you to return to your Twitter and your Myspace/Facebook. This also involves bumping old threads and otherwise being stupid with your posts.
4) Other People's Stuff Is Not Yours
This is not the Marxist-Leninist Utopia Forum. Credit other people for their work when necessary and ask permission to use it. This includes anything to do with SV, in which case you'll ask me.
5) Rated PG-13/MA 15+/15 certificate
Alright? Are we happy? Good lord, America-centrism. Long story short, keep the porno OUT of the board, as well as anything else that would not meet the ratings above. If it's a 50/50 thing, take it as read we'll probably be on the 50 you don't want us to be on. If something else happens you're offended by, see Rule 1 for both sides of the argument. And I do mean both sides; we're not here to cotton-wool you but we're also not here to be the Boundary-Pushing Tools Forum.
6) You're Not The Mod
We are the mods. Decision rests with us. Don't like it? Some other board does things a better way? Well then, you're free to go to it. Exit's that way.
