Hey, I'm using Sonic Mega Collection on my gamecube. On Sonic 3, when I press Up, up, down, down, up, up, up, up, before Sonic appears, the options menu doesn't show when I press up. Anybody know what I'm doing wrong?
(I do press it all before the white flash shows up)

I just noticed it takes a few tries to do it on Sonic and Knuckles. Maybe I just have to do it a ton of times.

Could someone go over JUST what I need to do, so I know what to do? Can I enter the code after the SEGA sound plays, or do I have to wait until the background turns black? And the code IS up(2), down(2), up(4), right?

you have to do it just after it says sega and yes thats the code

Two more questions: By after it says Sega, do you mean after the sound stops, or after the logo disappears?
And two: How long do I have to put it in, and how can I tell that my time is up?

after it says sega and you have a split second to do it right when sonics head first shows up you should be done

No banana. Still nothing. I'm pressing the combination before the screen turns black and the millisecond after the Sega sound finishes. WHY ISN'T IT WORKING?!
