Ya, i'm aware of the irony/oddity/situation/conundrum/whichever word suits this sentence.
Don't expect one anytime soon. I'm currently doing my college final project (designing a fighting game).

I recall Matt saying he'd take #50 a while back?

I'm not going to sift through two threads to find it, so if anyone can back this up I'll change the first post to reflect that.
(By 'back it up' I mean prove it, not just say "I remember that too")

No, that was a proposal by someone else. The connection between me and #50 is merely that I proposed each story arc be 50 issues long. 50 as a collab would be an interesting idea, but we'll see who wants to collaborate on it. Long story short, no, I'm not reserving #50. Or #51. I had my shot at kicking off the story last time. And look where that simple three-panel comic about a pants-wearing duck and Sonic's random possession of legendary jam got us... (BTW on a tangentially-related matter, anyone looking for Duckpants inspiration can find a crudely-drawn origin backstory in my deviantArt scraps...)

Well I'd be up for any collaboration, I can say that much. Heh, Doctor Pants you dastardly... git.

Alright, so that leaves us with a collab, picking someone at random or voting for someone. Any preference among the people?

I assume that, theoretically, the 50th issue would be the end of this storyline?

Presumably, but that was at Matt's suggestion. Still, I think it would be a good idea to take the whole Comic Jam business off in another direction after that, don't wanna be dragging the same thing along indefinitely do we?

I has an idea for the Collab thing. Member A creates one panel in their style, then emails it to Member B, who then emails their panel ONLY to Member C, but they can't say what happened in the panel that Memeber B received, an the chain continues until all the panels have been filled?

So basically we do a panel specific comic jam, done in secret by those participating in the collab. That could work, but there's the potential that the storyline won't be wrapped up, as no-one really knows what the next person may do. It may be more beneficial for the collab members to participate in an IRC or MSN conversation and decide on what happens, before the creation of the final issue. Even though it's meant to be a 'just for fun' thing, you gotta admit that it'll be a tad annoying if the ending doesn't actually go anywhere.

Well, someone (I think it was Matt) said they wanted the storyline wrapped up in #50, so s/he could make the final few panels?

Yeah, but that rather entails knowing what's happened in the rest of the comic. (Although that idea would be kinda fun - a sort of Sentence Game.) And it was me that chose 50, for no better reason than that it was a nice round number and 30-something slots had been already booked by the time I came up with it. We're not beholden to that, but if we're going to end at 50 I agree we should start tying up loose ends if possible. Or we could coast along till 50 and tie them all up in a FEAST OF RIDICULOUS EPICNESS a la the Phoenix Wright trilogy. (BOMBSHELL CITY - The family relations of Dahlia Hawthorne alone!) At any rate, I know what the very last panel should be.

And I had a really good idea for my next one too...
Although, yeah, I would like to see what the very last panel should be.

Two more slots are available for signups.

If there's still an open slot, I'm willing to do another one.
