Sonic Generations Teaser Trailer

So. I have played it, and it has been played, by me.
Thoughts:

Positives:
+ The amount of effort that has been put into nostalgifying the game is absolutely astonishing.
+ The levels are - for the most part - incredibly well designed, and it's possibly to replay levels multiple times and go through different paths each time. Furthermore in most levels the bottomless pits are reasonable in number and placement and if yo u fail at momentums you will only fall to a lower path.
+ Missions are well done, mostly fun, mostly optional (you'll need to do any one of the ten available in each level to progress) and occasionally take play in completely different level layouts.
+ The music wins everything, all times.

Negatives:
- There are still - STILL - issues with Homing Attack lock-on targeting. Normally this isn't so bad as multiple paths and a decent amount of star posts make up for it. It gets irritating in mid-game though, but strangely enough is better in the last stages.
- It is on occasion difficult to get an accurate handle on both Sonics' jump distance.
- Modern Sonic does not handle well while moving at a jog.

Overall I think the review consensus (which is mostly 8-8.5) is probably about accurate. If you are good at Colours you should probably add half a point to a point. If you are very bad at Colours you should probably remove that amount.

Thats the thing though. My video as well as the next four I posted weren't being looked for. They just happened during gameplay. Did you even look at the video descriptions?

Overall, I did like Generations much more than BK/Unleashed/Colors. Simply because Modern didn't focus on HURR BOOST TO WIN like Unleashed/Colors and gave the 3D sonic a much more flexible and open world platform system.

Fair enough, point made.
I should point out though that at least the first two Sonic 1 videos posted above have happened to me in the past without my looking for them.
And the others are not outside the bounds of probability to happen without being looked for, either. Yes, clearly someone was trying to replicate those last four, but it had to have been discovered somehow, right?
My point still stands: Videogames have glitches. Whether it's mysterious flying deer and travel companions clipping through the floor in Skyrim or broken AI in the Total War games, or, indeed, clipping through a building if you walk backwards from the City Escape truck chase starting position in Generations.
