Alright. Today, I got a new Itunes voucher worth £15 pounds, and a new update for the main system. I bought a bunch of songs that came up to that amount. Then, it started to automatically sync, which I thought would put all songs on my Ipod. But actually, it erased all 4956 of my other songs, and the other crap part is that it erased all recently bought songs, and also had the nerve to tell me I had to buy them all again. F*ckers.
I recently filed a complaint and hoping that it won't have to resort to a lawsuit. But this is just a warning, just in case it happens to anyone else here who may have got this new update for Itunes.

You will not win a lawsuit against Apple. No, not even then.

I'd do my best to be loud about it. I mean it might sound silly to do this, but the more people who complain about these issues to big media outlets, the more pressure there is for Apple to fix it for you. I'd write to Watchdog or somewhere like that and encourage others who've had similar issues to do the same, since Apple's a large company and you're bound not to be the only person affected by this. I mean come on, they've broadcast crap about the poor quality of shopping bags in supermarkets whereas this is bordering on fraud.

Thanks for agreeing, although, i'm not sure if the setting under the Ipod settings would've stopped it from automatically synching, but I never had chance to press it before it happened. I'll also look into it and see if this happened to others. Could you maybe let me know if you find someone with similar or exact problems? I just wanna make sure that it wasn't just my mistake.

This is why:
1. You never buy music 2. You never update iTunes.
Pirates win again! Тролололол!
But seriously. My dad has problems with copy protection because he was silly enough to buy his own CDs. Never buy music from iTunes, for obvious reasons. And I never update iTunes; out of convenience, and because I don't like change.
Spend a few hours on TPB and you'll have all your music back, for free.

Considering he has paid for it once already, I don't see why not.

This sounds about standard practice for iTunes. Happened to a friend of mine a few... lotofmonths ago... *tries to remember*
Yeahno I'm being pretty specific that I want an MP3 player not made by Apple for Christmas.

What the hell did you buy? What's so damn obscure you had to resort to buying it off iTunes? You couldn't just download it from anywhere? If the answer is Drea, I completely understandWell, it was just the new single by Stolen Babies, an album by Mirrorthrone and an LP by Family Force 5. None of the stuff you can really find in music stores here (except rarely FF5). Anyway, I did manage to raise merry hell on an email about what happened. They apologised for the problem, and gave me a step-by-step instruction to retrieve all purchases. The only problem is that the other 4956 songs, I have to put back on my Ipod manually. Sounds like fun.

Unless you actually own an iPod, in which there is no way to put songs onto it without it. Unless you jailbreak and install a freeware program on it, but I don't know how to do that. Also, is anyone else getting double spaces between words whenever you hit edit or quote?

I can guarantee without looking that you can get all of these on TPB. Also, is anyone else getting double spaces between words whenever you hit edit or quote? Problem with that is that it's piracy. And while I do hate record labels as much as any other right-thinking gentleman, music piracy is against my better interests, as I now have to pay hideous amounts to see music live instead, even though I actually buy all my CDs.

I don't see what the price of a ticket has to do with piracy.
