In the honor of being generic and using the whole 'sob story, lost your parents at the age of X and are going to find the secrets to your past because it is your destiny' crap, here is something I wrote in my free time:
She was running. A girl of about 16 with pink hair and a red bow on top of her head. Her usual bangs were a curl today that hung over her eyes like twisted bubble-gum. She also wore a green buttoned shirt with a white collar. Her shoes were purple with red laces which beautifully matched the bow on her head. She had on a light orange frilly skirt and a frown. Her otter brown eyes reflected a metallic figure as she turned to look at what was chasing her. The figure's blue robotic 'skin' seemed to take all the lights off the walls and rebound them to make the corridor look oddly crystallized. The same was with his eyes, his dark red peircing eyes; except that they seemed to take light and give darkness, too. She did not want to stop running and yet her legs protested every waking moment to stop and take a rest; their last rest.
She kept running, taking turns at every intersection and a breath every second. She could not afford to miss a step, to miss a glance at the way ahead of her. The road was not clear, and yet her legs seemed to be taking her the right way, and they were the only thing she could trust at this moment. She stole a quick look behind her and saw the robot figure advancing on her quickly. She cried out, hoping for someone, anyone to hear. She knew it was useless, but she knew not where she was. The robot reaches his hand out almost uslessly, as thought he thought he could catch her from one hundred yards away. She looked at his fingers; there were none. Spikes. Needles. They were not hands, and he was not human. Looking ahead of her and panting, she saw something that made her gasp. A door. Perhaps she could make it there and lock it from the other side? No...she knew not what the robot was capable of, in fact, he might break it down by charging through it. But she also knew this was the only way.
The girl's name was Amy Rose. Not many people knew about her, because not many had seen her in living memory. She did not know about herself either, as she suffered from amnesia after her parent's died. The vision was blurry but her mind could remember parts of it. A tree falling down and a blinding red light she could not entirely comprehend. She was a year younger and could not remember anything before that. Amy did not remember parents, she did not remember friends. But friends remembered her. In small waking visions she saw something blue speed past. Something incredibly quick. A hand reached out to her. The blue being looked to his left and gasped. He let go of her hand as she fell back to the ground as the blue figure raced off. Again she saw the red light.
Pushing away those painful thoughts and memories, she rushed to the door. She stared in horror. The door required a code, there was a keypad on the right of it. Close to tears, Amy slammed on the keypad like there was no tomorrow, and to her surprise, the door opened and she saw a hangar. The main hangar. Without closing the door behind her, Amy ran faster than she ever did in her life to the railing and looked down. She could only see the blue sky and it's clouds. It was her only chance. She must jump. Amy put one foot over the railing, but before she could put the other one over and push, she felt a cold sharp hand around her neck and she was pulled back. "HELP!" She exclaimed, losing her voice as the hand tightened. But wait...there was one thing that could work. She grabbed the bow from her hair and twisted it around the metal figure's hand. The grip loosened, and, without thinking, she raced forward and jumped over the railing and into the blue below.
