Holy crap. The two rallies are now one. EDIT: Link removed due to not being an official announcement. It is however, an official site for fans to vote on if their signs are sane enough or not. Colbert has a similar one for if your costumes are scary enough or not. Sane or NotSpooky or Dooky

The rallies were already in the exact same place at the exact same time. Why is the fact that they're the same news?

The rallies were already in the exact same place at the exact same time. Why is the fact that they're the same news? Because both being "at the Mall" isn't at the exact same place. The place is ninjaing huge. Also, it was an obvious parody of Glenn Beck's Restoring Honor rally and Al Sharpton's Reclaiming the Dream counter-march, which both happened at National Mall at the same time. The fact that what was previously though to be two seperate rallies occuring at the same time is now one big rally for everyone is the news. Whether the writers planned this from the beginning is up for debate.

Whether the writers planned this from the beginning is up for debate. We have two people who have shows on the same channel and have appeared on each other's shows planning events on the exact same day. They have similar logos for their events, and both have websites with a similar voting gimmick for what they attendees are planning on carrying/wearing to said event. It's pretty safe to say that they were planning this from the beginning.

However what isn't in need of debate is how stupid the rallies are. :B

Which is to say not at all, right. You suggest contrary to my intended point. Good sir, I tastefully disagree with your thoughts on the matter of this rally.

He has a point. I'm sure all of Jon Stewart's tables are made out of illegal immigrants.

Here, let me just quote one of the comments that hits the nail on the head:

He has a point. I'm sure all of Jon Stewart's tables are made out of illegal immigrants. That had me laughing for a good few minutes when I heard that the first time. But then again when I saw his shows, he did come across as an American equivalent of a toff pretending to not be one.
