It's also equal to 2000 yen, and about £11... I really don't see what the currency exchange rate has to do with this. No matter what the point he's trying to make... $20 isn't a "bargain" for some people out there.

So what you're saying is the american dollar is actually pretty strong compared to the peso. Awesome. Apparently it's got more spending power compared with average wages (whatever the economic term is for that) than the GBP right now, too. So screw all y'all brits.

So what you're saying is the american dollar is actually pretty strong compared to the peso. Awesome. It's been that way since I have memory. I remember going into a museum in this hotel in Tijuana. They had this Exchange machine that was really old. The blurb on the bottom said something along the lines of "This was used in the time where the peso and dollar were valued one for one". Man, I'd like those days back, thank you very much.

More spending power? As in, you guys love getting into debts? That'd be our government doing the perfectly logical thing in a recession. I don't know about my fellow citizens, but I avoid debt like the plague. The UK's got a similar, albeit slightly smaller, national debt proportional to their GDP. Spending power meaning that with equivalent amounts of GBP and USD, you can buy more in the US because costs in general are lower. This has been Cheesy ignoring your joke.
