Why not Don't Stop Me Now!? Bohemian Rhapsody is awesome by itself, but still, not enuff guitar. In other news, Green Day: Rock Band has a demo for Rock Band 3... and the ending picture... is this. My reaction, is this:

I wonder how the keyboard will work though. Will you get a MIDI keyboard and connect it to the TV, or will you get a five-key Fisher Price keyboard?

So, they finally did it and included keyboard. It'll also be quite awesome if you could play the RB DLC and exports with keyboard, but I assume that it'll only be a few songs that it'll apply to.

I think it's been said that any USB keyboard will work, and MadCatz will be making a keytar that will probably be in a bundle with the game. EDIT: Also yes if they somehow patched in keyboard/harmonies to older songs that would be kickass, even if you had to pay $1 per part or something. I would easily pay money to be able to split the Bowie/Mercury parts on Under Pressure with a friend.

Hah. I wonder how the "ohhh but guitar hero isn't the same as playing real music you guys" people will react to there being an actual keyboard involved?

I'm unknowing as to how this works. Will this next game be compatible with the last game's £150 worth of plastic instruments?

I never personally saw any advantage of music games over starting a real band, but that's my opinion.
My experience of this sort of game started and ended with Guitar Hero II. I'm off to play this now, in fact.

I never personally saw any advantage of music games over starting a real band, but that's my opinion. I cannot physically play a guitar. One of my left fingers doesn't work and the other one is missing. But I can destroy just about anyone at guitar hero. That is my motivation.

I wonder what proportion of the Guitar Hero playerbase is people with fingers missing.

I know two such people now. This could turn out to be an exploitable demographic.

Or it would be easier to target those with little rhythmic/musical capabilities.
Although I believe a lot of people have musical ability, they just can't be bothered to learn an instrument.

I'm off to play this now, in fact. It's fun, no commitment, no pressure, no drama, much cheaper (for the most part anyway). Moreover it has all the benefits of playing a video game over doing something in real life. It's just a bit of fun that provides its own challenges, like almost every other video game that has ever existed, and I think most (all bar the same people who consider horror games 'murder simulators') people who play music games know this (and don't especially need it pointed out to them by self-appointed 'real musicians').
