Just tried my first S1 casual practise paper (Jan07), marked it fairly harshly, and got 88%. Things are looking good. I think I may as well start timing myself now. TIME TO TANK THE PAPERS. K did another one, took half an hour less than the given time, missed a question out and got 85%. There's still stuff that I need to revise though. It's kinda hit and miss

Awesome. I just did my first 'closed book' C2 past paper (i.e. doing a paper without using a book for reference) and got ~62% by my marking. Basically the plan is to do one or more papers a day up until the day of the exam and do a bit of work on the parts I'm doing crap on intermittently.

So I don't really get how your education systems work, but I believe I'm doing the equivalent to your A-levels in about a month. I've done two practice exams at French, scored a 17/20 and 19/20 (initially 21/20 because I am a derp).

That's pretty cool. being all 105% and all. Did another S1 paper in an hour, got 97%. Still not confident though. Simply because of my hit and miss factor.

Just got back from the General Studies exam.
There was a question about communities on the internet. I used SV as an example.

Dammit, Additional was piss easy, but Triple was as hard as... well, a hard thing. Like Hard. There was an empirical formula question in the Triple paper today. Luckily there wasn't a spectroscopy or titration question cause I don't know jack crap about those. That's it until 7th June. (When Study Leave officially begins) That's after the half term, right? Same here... D-do I know you? ...This is extremely awkward.

For some reason that really hasn't been explained to us well, we have to go back after the exams to start A2.
This is a conspiracy to prevent me getting a job this summer.

Trust me, where you're going for the next year, you won't WANT a summer job. What I'm trying to say is try and savour what freedom you have now, and also make use of it productively.

Daniel: We've had study leave since last thursday. Suck it.
Zae: Thanks for the empirical formula thing but it didn't actually show up on the exam anyway. >>

I'm not sure I want to go to uni yet. It's funny, really - as much as I deliberately play up the "rofl you're a block 5 doing your GCSEs just wait until you get to AS you'll KIPPERS bricks", I'm treating the AS-levels exactly the same as I did the GCSEs, and the only subject I'm actually failing is Physics.
I already have a C at AS-level in ICT. I am looking at, worst-to-worst, another three C's from Computing, RS and Psychology - probably closer to a mix of B's and A's. Even if the uni I potentially apply to potentially asks for 4x AS-grades, I'll have them without having to write down the U I know I'll get in Physics.

I don't actually recall working in GCSEs.
Or AS for that matter.
Which is why I'm working the horse as if it were a machine now, but it does feel good.
Good luck to anyone else with an exam tomorrow, I know I'd appreciate some.
