Pokémon Black & White Starter Names Nintendo have today announced the official names for the starter Pokémon in Black & White. These three Pokémon are the ones with which you will be starting your game and follow the same Grass/Fire/Water cycle as before. The names are as follows. First, the Grass-type starter Tsutarja shall henceforth be known as Snivy which is a portmanteau of the words "Snake" & "Ivy". The Fire-type Pig Pokémon, Pokabu, is to be known in English language countries as Tepig which is a play on the word "Tepid" bringing "Pig" into the fold and finally the Water-type sea otter, Mijumaru, is to be called Oshawott, the full meaning of which we are trying to determine but it does include a derivation of otter. The region of Isshu has also been named as the Unova Region. ~ Serebii.net Disappointing.

NEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEIN
Seriously, why not go with Smugleaf, Pignition and Wotter? And why would you even rename the region? They've never done that before!
Pfeh, now I really regret that I couldn't play B/W on my R4.

After blood, sweat, and tears, I finally got B/W to work on my R4-III (a clone). I also put in an English Patch.
Once I collect all the badges and beat the game, perhaps I might return to the Wi-Fi community.

Hah, never tried to get a really balanced team until I got SoulSilver just last week, so I never went online. Might try with this game too, but meh.
Also, maybe I'll complete this one without cheating. Maybe.

Heck, even the New Zeland(sp? because stupid firefox) Nintendo Magazine liked Smugleaf.
Also, I find it hard to pronounce Oshawott. Oh sh*t, what?

SPEAKING OF: If any of you are actually playing B/W, anyone have a legit Level 25-35 Emonga? I've spent AGES trying to look for one in the wild and have yet to find one.

Well, if it angers that MUCH, I'm sure someone could start a mass-emailing/message group to have them listen to the fans to change the names...
that worked for sega...right?
