Already saw it on Kotakywahky.
Even though I haven't played L4D, i've grown fond of the original characters, so I think a character change was unnecessary, especially since the new characters seem to be the exact same (right down to "all girls wear pink and hair DUGONGtails") except with more black people.
Also, in my opinion, they didn't go south enough. They should be in cocking Brazil, fighting zombies in the rainforests and Rio De Janero. THAT would be awesome!

Surely those could have been added via modding.
In fact, give it a few weeks after L4D2, and I bet there will at least be people ASKING to mod frying pans into L4D.

www.gametrailers.com/video/e3-09-left-4-dead/50357?type=flvGameplay video. From what I can see, a lot of the stuff is remaining the same, such as medkits, the witch and PILLS HERE. And their "new" boss infected is basically just the tank with a change of model. Actually, having just watched the second video, there is a tank as well. Which begs the question: "What the hell is the new one for?" As it stands, L4D2 would work well as DLC. But as a full sequel, they must be joking. Valve better give me something between now and the game's release that will make it worth the £40 price it will inevitably have.

PAY ATTENTION SON IT'S CALLED THE CHARGER IT TEMPORARILY STUNS SURVIVORS With that said, Incendiary ammo is great. Fire resistant Zombies seems oh crap hard Axe, Sword, Frying Pan and Chainsaw is brill. Wandering witch seems scary, but great adoption of the old Screamer idea. AI Director 2.0's more advanced mechanics and weather changing is great news. I like this. I've already saved up. Edit: With that said, they should make it easier to distinguish between survivors and zombies, with these designs. Loving the graphics, but shooting team mates would get annoying. I love the new gun designs. Fits the environment well. I think it's too soon. However, I'm not gonna complain about a better game. I'm still ognna be able to play the old one. With that said, I hope they keep the old characters for kicks, as alternate selectables, say, after completing the campaigns or something >> New characters so far: Fire proof infected Wandering Witch Charger New sound bytes for the current special infected, mind you. This'll be nice and plump by November. Woop.

Wandering witches will die with one shotgun blast to the head, same as all the others.
And once again, CC makes a total nob of himself. You've got quite the running record going on at the moment.

The whole "charger stuns survivors" idea isn't a new one. When you got smacked by the tank, you had to wait a few seconds before you could continue fighting. Unless we're talking about being stunned for tens of seconds.

Okay, now let's see you try to claim that all the other features Zae listed aren't new.
Go on, it'll be hilarious.

Someone I know on another forum suggested it should've been called "Left 2 Die". At least they'd be using the sequel number with some form of originality as opposed to "Game 2/II" (though flipside, it would look confusing seeing as the series uses a 4 in its title anyway... they should've just called the first one "Left For Dead... ..though that said, the title "Left 4 Dead" already implies it's the 4th in a series.. I'm rambling again.)

The 4 is meaningful. Y'know, four survivors, four player coop in all situations (if there are less, bots play), four playable infected (hunter, boomer, smoker, tank), four campaigns.

And the left hand on the box art.
Left, 4 fingers, zombie is dead.
