My first proper LP [BEHOLD, MY VOICE], so let me know how I'm going. Although this is less of a humorous, SA-style LP than a more serious one with helpful commentary on the game mechanics, Fridge Logic and ranting about typos.
so what ees dees gaem
[TL;DR]
Fire Emblem 7: Rekka no Ken, named simply Fire Emblem outside of Japan, was the first game in the series to be localised outside of weaboo nation, and also my favourite in the series. Although some Fire Emblem games do follow on from each other, the series mostly goes the Final Fantasy route of having each game in a seperate universe from the other (although there is a theory, that I usually go with, that they are all different continents in the same universe). This game is a prequel to, although made after, the sixth game in the series, Fuuin no Tsurugi, which is the one with Roy in it. The dude who looks like Roy in this game is actually Roy's father.
Being the first game to be localised, it was many Westerners' [including mine] first encounter with this awesome but supremely difficult series. I'll happily explain all the game mechanics and some other advanced KIPPERS so if you're playing along maybe I could help you out. And if you aren't, well, hopefully I can convince you to play this amazing game. As a self-imposed challenge, as well as for maximum nostalgia factor, I'm playing without cheats, RNG manipulation, savestate hacking, miscellaneous hacking, or a guide, however I may abuse the Mine glitch every so often, as well as savestates for safe arena grinding, to save hours and hours of painful reloading if some soldier with a silver lance thinks it's funny to kill off my characters. Did I mention that not only is this game hard, but anyone who dies is lost forever? I won't otherwise abuse savestates, though. If someone dies outside of an arena, I'll just restart the chapter and cut the video until to the bit I was up to the first time.

I'm currently uploading videos of Chapter 7, there're three of them, so you might have to refresh in a few minutes once they've finished uploading.
Due to factors beyond my control, I'll probably only be able to record for an hour or two on Thursday mornings, but I can usually get a chapter or two done then. It takes a while to do editing and rendering after that, but I usually have it done by early the next week.
