Yeah, since due to some "persuasion" (Read: Facts to the Face) by the gang at IRC, I've gotten to the conclusion that a Brawl Tourney is not a good idea, due to the lack of people who own a Wii, let alone who own brawl.
But, how could I spend the delicious VHS-to-DVD converter? (It hooks up the RCA cables to USB)
That's when I came up with this idea...
I remember someone (I think it was either CC or Therio) suggesting this once, but for Sonic games only. Let's make challenges for videogames, and see who gets the highest score on said challenge/which one is deemed more awesome by the viewers.
What game can it be? Anyone that's easily accessible in an emulator, VC or any game that everyone knows they own, like Guilty Gear or Left 4 Dead.
Prizes will be a shiny gardient medal made in

GAME: Sonic the Hedgehog - Sega Genesis/Virtual Console/Any dang Genesis Compilation
HOW TO PLAY: Clear any level (That is NOT Green Hill Zone Acts 1 through 3 and Labyrinth Zone Act 3) without touching ANYTHING that is not a switch, breakable block, bumper, spring, platform, seesaw spring, breakable platforms, Robotnik or any NECESSARY obstacle that needs to be pushed/broken to continue, as fast as you can.
ADDENDUMS:
- Spindash not allowed.
- Tool Assistance (I.E. Slowdown, Savestates) is not allowed
- Labyrinth 3 is banned due to an item box blocking a switch
QUALIFICATION: Fastest times will be counted. You can submit various videos, but only the video with your fastest time on a level will count.

GAME: Super Mario Bros. - Nintendo Entertainment System/Virtual Console
HOW TO PLAY: Pop open all Item Boxes (Including Secret Item Boxes) and head to the finish flagpole in World 1-1 as fast as you can.
ADDENDUMS:
- No Warp Pipes, since that alone will not let you grab all Item Boxes
- The Multi-Coin box MUST end up looking like an used item box, and not like a brick. Therefore, you must jump on it multiple times.

HOW TO PLAY: "Defeat" a Pokémon BY ONLY USING SPLASH.
It is possible. My bro did it. I did it once. You don't have to hit the pokémon. Or, THE Pokémon.

- Max Pokemon Level is 65.
PRIZES: Gold medal, and Smartass award.
Good luck trying to find a way to survive (or un-take) the opponent's attack.
EVENT: Journey to the center of the Binary.
GAME: Dig-Dug. It HAS t be Dig-Dug arcade, Dig-Dug NES , but NOT Dig-Dug Arrangement.
HOW TO PLAY: Destroy and survive hordes of monsters as long as possible in Dig-Dug, digging through the levels. If you get hit and die, or get squashed and die, you're out.
ADDENDUMS:
- Tool Assisting not allowed
- Blatantly standing or just digging without any aparent reason other than just make time to survive longer is not allowed. Your main objective is going level after level.
- If by some miracle you manage to get to the last level (glitch underground) unscathed, your total time will count, just in case someone else makes it there. Obviously, the time of the fastest game finisher will be the gold medal winner.

Beat World 1 of Super Mario Bros 2 (the Japanese version) without losing any lives, or taking any hits, in the fastest time.

Event: THE DOG CHALLENGE
Game: Call of Duty 4
Select recruit difficulty, and the mission Ghillies in the Mist. Make your way to the bit with the rabid dog. You'll know when you're there, you'll hear MacMillan's gruff Scottish voice; "POOCH DOESN'T LOOK TOO FRIENDLY." Kill it. Prepare for the onslaught.
Kill all the dogs, all of them. You'll need to be able to snap their necks pretty much perfectly, and remember that MacMillan will get torn apart like a pinata if you don't protect him too.
If, by some miracle, there happens to be enough people with CoD4 to actually carry this challenge out, I'll judge scores based on the weapons used. You're most likely to have your M21 and USP .45 here; points will be deducted if you use a P90 or AK47, etc. picked up earlier in the level. I think you have claymores at this point too, you'll lose points for using them. You might want to do this to begin with anyway, this is not an easy challenge.
