Well, my brother just returned from a holiday with friends which included a 16-year-old girl, and she looked older than that.
So I guess it's all subjective.
Beneath: Yes, there is no chance whatsoever that I've seen one of my brother's best friends and am therefore using a specific comparison rather than a general "people look older/younger than that".

Well, my brother just returned from a holiday with friends which included a 16-year-old girl, and she looked older than that. So I guess it's all subjective. Well, my friend painted a picture of a 16 year old girl that his grandmother's bingo night friend had seen once on the subway 3 years before, and she looked a bit younger than that. So yeah, I guess you could say it's pretty subjective. And that Tene's post was useless.

Whee. I'll probably be doing this for all my characters. EDIT: Two hours later, I look at FE's misshapen anatomy in the right bottom corner and regret posting this picture.

You really need to work on smoothing out your lineart. One thing i've tried in the past with varying levels of success is importing the black and white image of the lineart into flash and then using "trace bitmap". You can then use the flash drawing tools to easily colour it in and do some shading, make it big, export it as a new raster image.
If you don't have Flash, then DO WHAT YOU WANT 'CAUSE A PIRATE IS FREE, YOOOOU ARE A PIRATE!

I don't like doing lineart in Flash, it always feels like I don't have enough control. The problem with the lineart here is that I'm just learning how to use Paint.NET. Hopefully it will be better next time.

Maybe you should try SAI Paint. Tried it out briefly and looks like a good program, cept it refuses to work properly with my crappy tablet (pressure won't work).

Hahah, I was trying to see if I could get away with not drawing hands I know it might be a little late to say this, but if you want to avoid drawing hands with girls, you can draw them with skirts. In that pose with a somewhat long skirt, you don't need to draw hands. I do that a lot

look ma I'm a real artist now I drawed anatomies No, seriously, click the link. Mind you, the thing isn't wearing clothes, but it's just a pimped out stick figure. Nothing naughty. However, I know some of you internet people aren't too used to seeing real women, so I drew some SUGOI HAIR =^_^= to make you feel more comfortable. img.photobucket.com/albums/v706/Four_eyes/hellomissanatomy.pngThe one mistake I CAN spot is that it looks like it's about to fall over, but that might be the reference I used. also to be honest it looks a bit different from the reference because at some point I got things wrong and went "screw it" don't tell anyone

The left arm looks a little thicker than the right one, and the stance does look a little unbalanced. It is pretty good though.
