Umm, I'm useless with teams. Get a Ralts cause Ralts is <3. And Registeel, Kyorge, Jirachi and Raichu are <3 too. Although you might need Pokemon Channel/Action Replay for Jirachi.
AND 999x RARE CANDIES/PROTEIN/IRON/ZINC/ETC HUHUHUH.

I've had Platinum since Friday, but I haven't played it all too much--not much time recently. I'm only just after beating Team Galactic after the 2nd badge =/. |

We could do stuff like that egg swap thing, if I actually figure out how it works. Eco: Evolve it when it has learned all the level-up moves you want it to learn. =P |

D00d, knowing your gaming history, you probably Action Replayed your way through it. I didn't get an ARDS until AFTER I got it. And even then, I didn't use it * until after I beat the Pokemon League (and even then, only for event purposes and almost impossible to obtain pokes.) Also, the game gets MUCH quicker if you don't bother with a 6th poke. Oh, and if you're wondering about Machamp, dont worry. You can do it ASAP, since, like Alakazam and Gengar, who also evolve the same way, learn moves at the same rate their pre-evos do. *In Platinum. Pearl, however, was fair game to Pokesav. INSTANT EV TRAINING FTW. |

Well, I just captured Serpent GRITANIA*. It kept on using Shadow Sneak and Ominous Wind on Staraptor, and ended up capturing it with a Timer Ball. ;D Cyrus was hell for me since my highest level pokemon was a level 45 Torterra. I ended up using about 20 Revives and 17 Hyper Potions from Weavile. ** Anyway, heading for Sunyshore now. FE: Just looked up on Serebii. Apparently, Machamp can learn the same attacks at the same levels as Machoke, unlike the other games. So evolving.  *Xad knows what I'm talking about  ** Basically, I used Staraptors intimidate, died from an Ice Punch, revive Staraptor, repeat. Wait until you either can take a decent amount of hits from it, or at least until its super-effective moves are gone, which is what I did and ended up killing with my Flareon instead of my Staraptor. |

How many turns did you wait? It took me about 10. I just pelted dusk balls. Those things are so absurdly cheap.
On the subject of legendary catches. I caught my Dialga with a FREAKING CHERISH BALL. IN ONE SHOT. WITHOUT CHEATING. I swear, pure luck. I don't care if it's catch rate is 30; it's still my crowning achievement in catching. also, for those who don't know, a Cherish Ball is only obtainable via cheating device. It has the same catch rate as a Pokeball, and is usually used to hold event pokemon. Even with dialga having a 30 catch rate, paralysis, and critical health, it's still hard to catch one in a pokeball (As it was trying to catch a Chatot with ULTRA BALLS. Why is that so hard to me?)

I believe it was the fifth turn. I used a Quick Ball on the 4th turn before it lost its effect, and it failed. So I used a Timer Ball on the fifth and it worked. XD
