Hello, KnuxTheEchidna here with 5 hoaxes! I Hope you like them!  Sega's Budget Crisis!  Sega can't afford a new plane. Notice how the gas is leaking!  Sonic comments on Low Budget Casino Zone.  Sega could only afford one blue sphere if they were to use a 3-D Sonic sprite.  And I am aware that Robotnik says Bohold. |

It's still up, Neo. As for the hoaxes, bad idea, bad implementation. And the screenshot size is far from correct. Also, a transparent background wouldn't fit for a hoax. Remember, it MUST look like a game.

What everyone else said, including:
~The Sega logo obviously looks like it was pulled from a .jpg or something.
~The font on the whole "Budget crisis" thing doesn't look like it belongs.
~The gas and smoke don't look like they would be done like that Genesis style
~The "ropes" holding Sonic lack any detail and use a true black instead of maybe a dark gray.
~The caption in the casino scene has grammatical errors.
~Finally, it's just not that funny.

Ah, bad hoaxers. I treat them as if I were the figurative Yahtzee of this forum, nitpicking away at their every flaw until the hoaxer him or herself ends up utterly destroyed if it's bad enough; comes back with a vengeance and good taste if he understands, or just never gives up on bad hoaxing.
And then there's you. I don't even have constructive criticism, just criticism of the mean, plain old-fashioned kind. I...I've seen terrible hoaxes in my time, to be honest, and the idea's not TOO bad if done properly....but this is just ridiculous. It's like you don't even know what the word "hoax" is, or what makes a hoax a hoax. It must be believable, confusable with the real thing, not a simple modification or gratified change for humourous purposes; you can't even get the bloody screen size right, which should be the basis of any hoax ever created (in case you're wondering, the Genesis screen size is 320x224), and somehow you managed to ninja that up. Then you decided to use completely unfitting, obviously computer-created effects, making all this look like a terrible manifestation of, if you pardon the made-up vocabulary, n00bitude.
Most of it looks as if it were done with JPEGs, a format known for its distortion and general age, as well as simple text effects with the MS Paint (or whatever you're using) text box tool. You even crossed out or put text over other things that were already there, something not very recommendable at all. The second and third ones demonstrate your lack of knowledge about the Genesis aesthetic, as well as overall laziness. The fourth one is somewhat decent, but the editing out of the other spheres and the number look clear as day (and by the way, it would say 001, not 000 in this situation), and is terribly blurry because of the upsizing you're doing.
The final hoax, then. Not only has the idea been done before (by me, of all people), but also it is terribly poorly executed (do NOT by any means put emoticons in text boxes) not only because of the text but also because of the crossing out. I am aware that this is a "budget crisis", but this just doesn't cut it.
Overall, terrible. I haven't been this harsh with anyone, but...it's true, I haven't seen anyone hoax quite as bad as you just did.
