See, I guess the problem I had with fangames is that it's just not that great. Except for Sonic Adventure Gaiden, which, was a joke anyway but still had a heck of a lot of effort, there's nothing that great out there. Even WTGB I wasn't impressed with because, just like all the others, it had the stereotypical Games Factory Physics problems and overall predictable level design. Sorry...

THey've got a lot better since WTGB, dude. Most of the big names (and even me in my new game demos) have ditched the click-platform movement in favour of writing our own.
As for WTGB, it was my first SFG, dude. First ever platform game click-programmed, come to that. The reason it was liked as much as it was is that it had some different stuff in it for the time.
As to fangaming today, I suggest you go find Sonic: Time Attacked by Jamie Bailey or SRB2 by STJr (www.srb2.org), as they each own majorly.
Fangames are a little like spritecomics: in amongst 95% garbage you find the occasional gem.

the rings through the title screen is annoying, but i cope. Oh yeh i made a doomsday level now as well, even with the super mode thing!(where your rings go down)

To fix the ring problem, right-click on the title card(s), go to view, and then 'to front'.
The doomsday ring this is easy...make a code that sais 'every second take away one ring' and then say 'when rings are 0, game over'...i assume thats' what you mean...

Well, I've seen maybe one decent Sonic game made in GM K, as opposed to tons in TGF/CNC/MMF.
But anyone, t'each their own.

I used to have a 30 day trial of games factory, but it ran out as soon as i figured out how to make games. I'm on a 30 day free trial of multimedia fusion now. That started on 13th may. It hasn't ended yet, but its not the full version because it still says demo on it. Oh well!
