Recently Apple added movie rentals to iTunes. I got bored and decided to take a look at their insides. ITT I'm going to show you how to remove the time limit on them. To view their files you'll need Unix (pretty sure theres a few emulators if you're running Windows, Mac and Linux run on it so they're covered) and the command line program AtomicParsley.Launch Terminal (Or whatever Unix emulator you're using) and drag AtomicParsley into it. This will copy its path. Then drag the movie you desire to hack into it as well. Then type --stik " " and hit enter. It should look like /AtomicParsley path/ /Movie Path/ --stik " " Note the spaces. Another copy of the movie will be created. After you're done with your rental make sure its off of iTunes and add the newly created file. Don't change the file's name back to normal. It doesn't give me any issues, but it gave a few other accounts I tried it on a problem. KNOWN ISSUES: Movie is still flagged on Apple TV. I'm guessing this is due to the file extension. Probably a ton of other things, I haven't tried very much yet. Let me know what you find. Has this been discovered by anyone else? I looked around on Google and didn't find anything. There wasn't any mention of this method on the AtomicParsley website either. I think I may be the first person stupid enough to try this. If anyone would like to name a decent Unix emulator I'll link it.

I'm pretty sure I have the right to free speech. Its not like I'm providing the cracked movies or anything.

I'm going to try this soon. The rental prices seem actually reasonable.

I meant: is this method legal? Dooms, you've been using emulators for a couple of years now, haven't you? So why care?

Good point... Not that I cared much for law anyway, I was just asking.

'That's not pirating, that's accidental reproduction!' In another, totally unrelated way... 'That's not rape, that's accidental reproduction!'
